Rosenthal's midseason QB rankings - Dak nearly top 10

It looks like it's Dak's team now. He's earned the right to remain the starter as long as he continues to play well.

I hope Garrett/Jerry have the guts to make the tough decision which is Romo starting, with all the media and most fans saying this is Dak´s job it won´t be easy to make the change but the film should tell them that Romo takes this team to Championship level not Dak, at least not now.
Not bashing Dak in any kind of way, I love the guy but Romo is simply the better QB (2014 version) at this point.

The challenge for me Coy, and I'm not saying Romo shouldn't start, is that the Romo we know hasn't played at a high level in 2 years. And 2 years is a long time in the NFL. The film of 2014 isn't applicable... And quite frankly even the first couple games of last season prior to the first injury he didn't look all that sharp.

What they (the Cowboys brain trust) is look at how he's moving and throwing in practice and if they think he's a better option than Prescott then by all means put him in. But if he ain't... then he ain't. Prescott's playing at a high level. Romo needs to exceed that.

He looked HOT in the preseason game before he got injured...so we can assume he still haz it. If not, he would suck it up in practice drills too.

11) Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys (Preseason: 27)

Prescott's ability to finish with a flourish against Philadelphia helped erase what was otherwise his toughest career start. That ability to fight through adversity has impressed coach Jason Garrett and owner Jerry Jones, who all but confirmed the Dallas quarterback decision is made. They are going to keep playing Prescott until he compels them to do otherwise.

This is obviously a flawed evaluation since it had Wentz at 16

Great point, and I agree but you at least have to give him a chance to prove it to you, don´t you think? Hey, we won on Sunday but that wasn´t a good game for Dak, saying that I do know it´s a tough decision because we are winning and frankly Dak has the "it" factor whatever that means and is playing winning football. I just hope they go with their gut, whatever that is, and not fall for the pressure of everybody saying that Dak cannot be benched.
Anyway, I am thrilled that we have our QB for the next decade.

I don't think you would find a top 10 QB reading from anyone that wouldn't have Romo in the top ten qb's

I shake my head at comments like that.

He was 1 for 1 for 11 yards in the preseason game vs. Seattle.

Obviously you replied based on agenda and not fact.

I shake my head at comments that reply and dont read....the preseason game BEFORE he got injured...dallas versus miami. 4/5 for 49

Now that we have established the fact that we've got two, (count 'em, 2) good QBs, let us give thanks. THANK YOU, SWEET JESUS!!

Now, then, one will be playing Sunday and the other will be getting back to his conditioning procedure and hoping to be activated very soon, as Jerry has recently declared. Does that mean that he will be replacing Dak as a starter anytime soon? Nobody knows for sure -- I suspect there's a chance that not even Jerry does at this point in time. Still, we are blessed, nevertheless, despite the controversy. Let's not forget that . . . ;)

Blasphemy.

The writer didn't say anything about repeatability. You added that on your own.

This was a first half ranking, period.

So he considered they were all rookies then...got it.

He doesnt have to mention every single thing he takes into account to do so.

"Lets rank an unproven rookie over a superbowl winning QB because of a couple weeks of stats" lol not.
