Who graded Randle out as a better pass blocker than Murray? PFF?

Pre-season means literally nothing, our first team last year didnt even socre a TD the whole pre-season. They need to make a trade for a RB though, give me Turbin/Micahel whoever Seattle is willing to part ways with. IF they want to make a big splash, try to get AP by giving up a 1st rounder next year

Good stuff. Agree on most of this as far as roster predictions.

As far as preseason goes and the whole "rust" bs. Nah can't disagree more. The preseason is a complete joke at this point. I don't want ANY veterans playing and risking injuries. So a couple of series in August is gonna prevent rust?? Don't think so. I've seen teams and players time and time again have great preseasons and then disappear when the real games begin. It's meaningless. The rust will have to be knocked off during the season. Keep em healthy is the only important thing this staff has to do this preseason in my opinion.

Agree...and as far as Hardy goes, not sure it makes sense to put him out there, take minutes away from guys who need them & whom will be playing in his place for the first 4 games. Getting guys to 'gel' in the preseason, only to lose one of them for four games, makes zero sense. And if you've seen this guy practice, he has about as much rust as that 2017 Ford F150 sitting at the Detroit Auto Show. SMH

Murray is a much better blocker than Randle. It's not even close. You can point to one single play but overall Murray is considered miuch better at that. Right now,. McFadden is a much better pass protector than Randle.

Our young defensive linemen were great last night at getting up the field...3 sacks, 8 tackles behind the line. QB hits and hurries. Defense gave up 9 points despite the fact that they were put in bad field position, the rest was special teams and a pick six.

5) We only have one RB. McFadden has no vision. Problem is, Randle can't pass block. He might get Romo killed.
.

Double A Gap here they come. Romo, OLine and Linehan better be working on this in practice. If I am game planning to play Dallas, I am bringing the defensive heat right up the middle. RB's better be ready to handle this, bc its coming. I can see the first 7 of 8 games being an opposing team blitz fest.

Didn't see the first half yesterday, did Hardy actually stink up the joint or is this hyperbole in OP?

Didn't say Hardy stunk... He just hasn't done anything. Made no plays. Got close a couple times (I rewatched focusing on him). He played LDE a lot more than right with Gregory on right. He looks slow to me

If you're the Seattle GM, would you give the missing personnel piece to one of the teams most likely to be battling you for the conference title?

9) I'm worried that all the intensity we hear about at practice is hype and/or is misdirected. We have looked sloppier and less intense than both teams we have played. We have problems historically dealing with success. The circus comes into town and everyone gets too high on themselves. I'm worried this has happened again.

Perhaps. But there is also the idea that Dallas simply does not take preseason games seriously. I cannot even name the time we looked like we were doing much of anything other than trying to just get the game over with.

Watching the game I realized these two teams have totally different objectives. SF was playing to win. Garrett seemingly just put his guys out on the field with the simple instructions to go make plays as individuals. I didn't see any semblance of a unified team representing the Cowboys.

DMC based on his career is the best pass blocking back this team has had in a while. He was better blocker than Murray last year.

THE SKY IS FALLING! THE SKY IS FALLING

Wait, it is only preseason.

NEVERMIND!

If we don't sharpen up at some point this preseason I fully expect us to come out against the Giants and play sloppy football, penalties, 3rd and longs, and all that good stuff.

Whenever you guys see Dallas never find a rhythm in the preseason and it not carry over into game 1 let me know.

I respectfully disagree. So if the Cowboys lit it up last night, it would have helped them roll the Giants twenty days from now?? The season opening loss to San Francisco last year was tied directly to the winless preseason? Then how did the team go 12-3 the rest of the way?

I thought last season would ease all the preseason worries. I understand the players need some reps to sharpen their skills; but I don't know how it benefits guys like Tony Romo to go out and throw a couple passes with the lights on him. Ask the Packers' Jordy Nelson how much it helps. Preseason games are nothing more than glorified scrimmages the NFL gets to sell tickets for.

Im not asking them to go out and win or anything like that.. Just show a pulse.. Put together a solid drive... It's all we can do to get a 1st down right now and every positive play feels like a penalty attached to it.

Yes, don't forget it was Murray's missed block which led to Romo getting trucked vs Commanders.

What block did Murray miss on this play exactly? He's occupied blocking on the play. It was a delayed blitz.
