On my cell so I can't copy and paste the article. The article mentions a possible trade to Oakland for a third rounder. I'd definitely take it. For the cap gurus, a trade would take his 9m completely off the book for this year, correct?if so, that is much more valuable than a third round pick because it gives us plenty of cap room to add other players in FA to fill need positions.

The National Football Post's Mike Lombardi believes that it's only become a matter time of before Terrell Owens is an ex-Cowboy.

The list of reporters who don't believe T.O. will be back: Lombardi, SI's Peter King, FOXSports' Jay Glazer, NFL Network's Adam Schefter, and ESPN's Ed Werder. Lombardi doesn't necessarily expect Owens to be cut, however, and suggests a trade to Oakland. T.O. probably wouldn't cost Al Davis more than a third-round pick and the Raiders are desperate for wideouts.

Edit: Too slow.

I'd take a 3rd rounder so fast Al Davis' flabby skin would flop in the breeze created.

First if we could trade him for a 3rd and NOT have to pay his salary then I'd be all over that in a second.

However I don't believe that's the case. I believe if we trade him, or cut him, then we'd still have to pay the accelerated amount of his bonus on our cap. Not sure what the figure would be, or how that works out, but I'm sure Adam could tell us when he comes along.

Yeah I agree with you there Hos. I've said many times that I'm not bothered, either way, whether he's still here or not next year but if Al is giving up a 3rd for him I'd take it.

I honestly can see Al Davis doing this. It would not surprise me. A third rounder would be an absolute steal considering we are talking about letting him go for nothing(in terms of compensation). I bet Al Davis would think it would be a steal for getting him for a third rounder also. If he's traded, we wouldnt have a 9 mil cap hit? It would be erased?

I can't wait til we pay his bonus so we can get past all this speculation. Every friggin' year it's the same ol' thing.

After all the talk of him possibly leaving you almost have to get rid of him now.

Not sure it's such a great move some seem to think it will be.

Yeah, that makes sense.

Or not.

Not computer literate enough to do this properly, but here is what Lombardi actually wrote...

Now, for the real news out of Dallas regarding Terrell Owens. Peter King wrote this yesterday in his Monday Morning QB, and I believe he is dead-on accurate. When, not if, is the real question everyone is asking about T.O. He will not be back, but the team is still deciding when to make the announcement of his termination or trade.

I don't believe this cause it would be too good to be true. I don't even know how Jerry would be able to talk Al into doing that. Also is rotoworld or rototimes the site that's always wrong?

I'll take a conditional 7th if it means we dont have to pay him 9 million in dead space next year.

A trade would not forgive the cap hit.

Easy..just have Jerry say:Hey Al, I'll give you Owens for a third rounder."

Wow. That's a strong statement.

You better not just be getting my hopes up, Lombardi.

Ughhhh.

I agree, it would be a hell of a trade. Getting their 3rd rounder for TO would be grand theft.

How fitting. TO ends up in a place where he has no shot at winning because he can't be happy on numerous other teams where he has an excellent shot at winning.

How does it not make sense?

You cant see Owens reacting to this in a negative way against the organization next year if things don't go well?

I know I can.
