Roy Williams confirmed via text message that the X-rays on his left
shoulder and collarbone were negative.

We still do not know how long Williams will be sidelined, but it will
not be the 6-8 weeks it takes to recover from a broken collarbone.

Thank goodness it's being reported that it's only a sprain and not broken. Now hopefully it will be a mild sprain and he'll be 100% and ready for the season opener.

Even with the great news, this has to be concerning with these little injuries already. The regular season hasn't even started yet. Roy needs to get his *** in that weight room to improve his lean muscle mass so he isn't as injury prone as he is now. He's an NFL wide receiver getting paid millions of dollars. Everyone on this forum would be doing everything they could to prevent injury. Roy doesn't understand that part of the game; he just relies on his amazing, natural talent. In the NFL, that will only take you so far.

Roy does lift weights, you need to quit talking out of your ***.

GREAT GREAT news..now we just need to know the grade of the sprain.

Panic? There was no panic. We were all just excited to get to see more of Hurd and Ogletree. :p:

At least we have a virtual bye week 1

If there is one thing I know about this game, it's that there ain't no byes in the NFL...show up or get beat.

Well to wrap it up...if this ain't a sure fire sign to management to get some WR depth in the next few drafts I don't know what the hell is.

Now I agree with that ..... this should be the last year for projects.

Xrays showed no breaks, but the MRI, tomorrow, will show the extent on any sprains, tears, or any damage to ligaments, muscles... etc. So we wait to hear how bad the sprain is till tomorrow. Just hope it is a stinger or very minor.

Actually I think letting Ogletree get some snaps with the first team would be great to see. There will be plenty of plays for the offense to work with and w/ Romo high on Ogletree...why not give'em a shot.

Hopefully Roy's sprain/whatever it is isn't too bad and he can rest the next few weeks and guys like Ogletree/Hurd/Austin can really work hard to step up. Definitely not all negative in this injury (unless he's out like 3months+)

Hurd's hurt too and might not play Sat according to DC.com

I dont remember reading about anything happening to him, anyone know?

I think I read that it's a bruised quad, and nothing real serious...

Yup. We were all thinking that we had a virtual bye week when we played the Rams after Romo went down last year.

Broken collar bone=****ed.

Overreact much??

There are times when I seriously wonder how you ever won the rookie poster award... it must have been a lean year for newbies...
