Lol... touche.

The constant threads about RW11 are annoying. The only reason people start them anymore is because they know it will turn out to be a 10+ post thread.

I am not a smart feller or nuthing but it seems that if you would not read these irksome posts then it would be 9+post threads. So stop it.

I's just saying . . . .

I'm still bullish on Roy. His hands were never a problem before, so I think that is an issue that can be worked out. I think his lack of production is somewhat due to Garrett forcing him to run routes over the middle when he is more of a vertical receiver.

I'm also wondering why very few people have mentioned how difficult of a catch Roy made for his TD. If you watch the replay, the CB was hanging on the the arm Roy used to catch the ball. Strong catch.

I find myself thinking, if Romo was injured and Kitna was playing QB, what will Roy's production be like right now. And my answer: we'll be a worse team with a worse offense but with a clear cut number 1 WR, with number 1 numbers. I'll surely take this alternative.

This is a sad statement for a Cowboy fan. So you would rather have a "worse team" led by Kitna just so your boy Roy can shine? I'm a Cowboy fan, while you're a Roy fan. The way this offense is producing is incredible, I wouldn't change a thing. Give it time, Romo will find Roy. To be honest though, I love how we are spreading the ball around with this offense.

...and that is still an asinine idea.

roy looks like a guy who should have been cut in training camp.

right now, i wouldn't care if he were cut in the offseason.

i mean, as a fan, i really hope he turns into everything his supporters say he is, but so far i wouldn't take roy williams over TO or plaxico burress...

I believe roy can be that number 1 reciever. Allthough with the way he his playing right now I believe that he needs to be rotated out more and let the younger guys run some of his routes and have a chance at production.

he's slow, weak, has bad hands, and runs horrible routes.

Sorry these are not slow numbers he posted. No doubt Romo and RW have to find a way to get on the same page with each other but this non sense he has no speed is pure BS.

So maybe I had to watch a couple of highlight videos to reinforce that opinion - and I urge you guys to do the same- but even though I might be in a small group, I still believe that to be the case.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0pHmHeTZKKE (I think this one was actually put up by some guy named Roy E :p:

I still believe he's also the best WR in the NFC east.

I'm frustrated that he and Romo haven't got on the same page and this seems to be one of those exceptional cases where it takes too long to happen. But I believe they will. And Miles has afforded us to luxury of having more time for it to occur.

He's had some of his best games against the Eagles so here's to hoping that's an ominous harbinger for the inauguration of this connection ;)

Why is this thread still being debated? It's like saying, would you rather be sitting on a beach or burned alive. Is there really any question here that is actually debatable?

I think not.

So now he's a vertical receiver instead of a possession receiver - will the excuses never end for this guy?

The bottom line in the league is production - RW has provided very little production outside of some decent downfield blocks - nothing that is worth $%9M/yr though - that is Pro Bowl LT type money.

I really think that unless he shows some signs of snapping out of his funk in the next few weeks, he will be benched and then dumped in the offseason. We have football games to win and have WRs on the roster right now who could be more productive with the opportunities that the running game, Miles Austin and Jason Witten and producing for the #2 WR.

I really hope that RW gets a little nicked up again so we can give Hurd or Ogletree a chance to get some more reps so we can see what they can do,.

He doesn't play nearly that fast and that's what matters more in the end - Miles Austin has way better functional speed than Roy.

As for his strength, maybe he is gym strong, but I don't see him winning any fights for the ball out there so it doesn't really matter how much he can bench press or squat.

You'll probably say he can jump high, but I don't see him winning many jump balls out there either.

His skills/talents don't translate into production right now - this may be just lack of effort now that he has his money.

Why can't Williams be more like Colston?

Because Colston plays with desire and intensity and RW plays with his bank account numbers and investment accounts running through his head.

RW is not as quick in and out of his breaks. He does however have the speed to run the deep routs and did so in Det. He is very good on post routs as well. He is not Keyshawn slow he has good speed right now the only problem is him and Romo putting it all together. As for the last comment get out here guys coasting or taking it easy do not go out and put in the extra time.

Injuries and missed games aside, I know what Roy can be. I still remember the game against the Lions where he was completely unstoppable and made our defense look like the London Silly Nannies. That's the Roy I am holding out for.

You are never going to see that player. Those games against us were like auditions for him so he actually dialed up the effort that day to 10/10 unlike the 3/10 that he demonstrates on a day-to-day basis with the Cowboys now that he is where he wants to be (Texas) and has got his money ($20M guaranteed, $45M possible) and there is no need to try hard anymore.

This post is bullcrap.

His issues have little to do with effort. He's trying out there.

Like I said before, the shortsightedness of a lot of these people is going to be fun to look back on once he and Romo click.

Since Witten and Bennett cant expose the deep middle... put him in the slot and let him work the seam every.
