I think the problem is he's completely basing it on career production, just not this year's production.Hoofbite;3054049 said:Well, you are completely disregarding production.

I'm not certain what year you stop looking in the past. But if you have a 27 year old receiver, I'm pretty sure you don't draw the line before looking at what he did when we was 25, or even 24.Hoofbite;3054068 said:At what point do you stop living in the past?
You gotta go all the way back to 2007 to find a year where he had good numbers and 800 yards and 5 TDs isn't exactly world beater material.
Julius Jones had a hell of a rookie year, I don't see many people holding high expectations for him.
I think when you have to reach back more than a couple seasons, you're probably reaching a little too far.
He's fast, but has no quickness or acceleration.Doomsday101;3053597 said:RW is not as quick in and out of his breaks. He does however have the speed to run the deep routs and did so in Det. He is very good on post routs as well. He is not Keyshawn slow he has good speed right now the only problem is him and Romo putting it all together. As for the last comment get out here guys coasting or taking it easy do not go out and put in the extra time.

Roy and Romo just need to get on the same page. Basically Roy needs to be where Romo expects. I think even if Roy goes back to what he was he'll just be a compliment to Austin, but I think he could be one heck of one.Doomsday101;3054107 said:And I said he did not have the same quickness in and out of the breaks. To say he is slow is a flat out lie or it is talk from those who don't know jack about RW to being with they only parrot what they hear. RW has had some big play and big games over the years including over 200 vs Philly. I do think RW and Romo will get this worked out and he will show what many of us already know about RW he is a very talented WR. For those who want to doubt be my guest it was not far back when people were doubting Romo as well.

kramskoi;3054559 said:...well i've defended Roy for a while but after reading Sturm's blog, the writing is on the wall...the only receiver under 40% catch rate on the team...like i said before, this won't play out like it did with Owens and if Ogletree emerges it would just put more pressure on him...i'm beginning to think that there's a reason that Detroit could afford to part ways with him...it seems he still has that "Detroit" mindset...
