And of course, Sean Taylor would never make a dirty play......

God, what a ******. I love how his teammates were like "Oh..." after they heard he spit on the guy.

That is the most classless move one player could do to another. Typical of someone from that organization.

I think any grabbing of a jersey should be outlawed. Too many players get injured when tackled by the jersey. I think players should zero in only on skin when they make a tackle. Owners are working out how players should tackle during cold weather games when players completely cover themselves as we speak. Whether to go with a flag, or two use two hand touch is the hot topic I hear.

The fact is that the tackle is causing injuries. Not just injuries, but bad injuries. If you were making a run towards the playoffs, and Dawkins horse collars TO and TO suffers the same injury like in Philadelphia I am sure you would all be pissed off. Now if you want to talk about a ridiculous rule, then talk about the celebration rule that may go into effect.

I heard next year they are gonna BAN bitzing the QB ...... To many Qb's have been hurt over the years during a blitz ...... its to dangerous

Celebration Rule - no thats a good rule, Im sick of wide recievers acting like idiots in the end zone. Act like you have been there before and like you will be back

so basically now if you dont have top end speed, on defense, theirs no point evening playing football.

Taglibue's checklist
1. stop players from hitting each other (check)
2. make it impossible to sack the QB without getting a penalty (check)
3. make it impossible for players to tackle their opponent (check)
4. Let be possible for RBs to never have to actually work to get 2000 yds a yr???? (working on it)
5. Don't allow DL men to make contact with OL so there will be less injuries (work in progress)
6. Before I retire destroy NFL. (Work in progress)

Nest year NFL will be replaced by the National Flag Football league. All hail the great leadership.

You forgot: 7) eliminate all penalites on the offense
and
8) Since Irvin retired, we can go back to letting WR's do anything they want

This is ridiculous. The part that says:
"Roy Williams would grab the back of the shoulder pads and fall on the legs of a runner" is infuriating to me. Roy isn't a dirty player. He didn't fall on the legs of all four of those guys. He wouldn't have fallen on Musa Smith's leg had it not been for the stiffarm. They make it sound like he was trying to intentionally hurt people, which is slanderous and insulting. Grabbing the shoulder pads is a sure way to get a hold of someone. This is ridiculous.

I saw a hundred guys grab the back of the collar of people's jerseys this past season and I don't remember a single injury. Exactly what is a pursuing defensive player supposed to grab? Offensive players get their jerseys so tight fitting that they can't be grabbed anywhere else. Just absolutely ********. The league is just pissed that Roy didn't get flagged last year after they made a rule just to target him.
If you wanna cut down injuries, get rid of the dirty cut blocking that Denver does. That's BS. That's the dirtiest stuff in the league.
I'm sure they'll think of some more rules that will help Payton Manning and hurt the Cowboys. Will they continue to allow the defense to have 11 guys on the field? Will they let the defense line up near the LoS? Seem like ridiculous questions now, but it seems like the league may be addressing that soon considering the way its progressing, or should I say DIgressing.
Perhaps we can mitigate the violence and injuries by just having guys come in and play the game on XBox instead of actually hitting each other.

How many injuries did it cause last year? More specifically, how many injuries did it cause last year when only the jersey was grabbed?

There was no need to expand the rule. Period. The only reason was to make life easier on the poor refs.

I agree. As long as it doesn't go overboard, like running to the midfield logo or tearing down fans' signs.

Also, no need to bring in sharpies and cell phones. I have no problem with the other ones though.

Well...I think this thread has run it's course.

I would also like to remind people not to circumvent the language filter in the future.

Typing in azz or *** is considered circumventing the language filter.

Thanks
