i agree, and what's funny is that EVERYONE but Snyder, Gibbs, and Williams seems to have known this before the skins made him one of the highest paid S's in the league. :lmao:

Don't worry... they'll cut him before they have to pay him all that money.

Umm...correct me if I'm mistaken, but doesn't Williams have more INT's than the entire Commanders team?

All we heard all offseason was how superior both Taylor and Archuleta were to our very own Roy Williams, how he couldnt cover, how he was a dirty SOB, how he is the scum of the football world, yadda yadda yadda. Well, here are their respective numbers thus far this season:

Roy Williams:

23 tackles
3 INTs
7 Passes Defensed
1 Forced Fumble
2 Fumble Recoveries
1 Touchdown given up

Sean Taylor:

47 tackles
0 INTs
3 Passes Defensed
3 Forced Fumbles
0 Fumble recoveries
3 Touchdowns given up

Adam Archuleta:

49 tackles
0 INTs
1 Pass Defensed
0 Fumbles Forced
0 Fumbles Recovered
2 Touchdowns given up

So, let's review, Williams has more INTs, passes defensed, and fumble recoveries than both Archuleta and Taylor COMBINED. Williams, supposedly the "worst coverage safety in football", has given up 1 TD to Archuleta and Taylor's combined 5 and has 7 passes defensed, nearly double what Taylor and Archuleta have combined.

:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:

Wait...so what you are saying is the Cowboys didn't screw up drafting Roy and not saying we should have drafted that other guy? Wow..someone actually okay with a player that's on our team...

Archuleta sucks......but Sean Taylor (despite his gangsta tendencies) is one of the best safeties in the league.

Honestly can't tell the difference when I see Taylor and Roy Williams play....they are essentially the same player although Taylor might be slightly better in coverage.

Munchis....Out!!

I too have to give props to Taylor, and I don't think he's slightly better in coverage, I think they are equal. So if all things are equal, then give the edge to the stand up character guy, that's Roy Williams.

I dont know where you got your stats from, but according to NFL.com, RW only has 5 passes deflected, and doesnt have any forced fumbles

Not like it matters much, but if you feel the need to bring this up, then the stats should be right

I know it makes you feel smart to post that, but maybe next time, you should think before you post.

We are talking about TD's given up, and thats not on those pages.

Sadly, this skins fan is on to something......

Those stats are off. Roy has given up a TD at least twice.....Shockey and in garbage time against Tennessee.

On the other hand.....Sean Taylor has given up AT LEAST as many TDs as those stats credit him for. Sean Taylor has given up 3 TDs in man-to-man coverage from the GOAL LINE ALONE (texans, cowboys, giants). Thats not even accounting for all the numerous other Bombs that have been thrown all over the Commanders......if you wanted to, you could probably give Taylor some blame on Terry Glenns deep crossing route that hit for a TD.

And Archuleta......oh boy, don't think anyone needs to touch that......hes been down right putrid.

I know, I'll concede that Taylor has given up several TD's this year, but without a source, how do I know that he isn't just pulling these stats out of his arse?

Im not saying taylor is a better safety, I would just like to see some subtance to the stats.

No, it makes me feel smart to dislike the Commanders. Maybe next time you should try and read what I actually wrote...a good place to start. Maybe you could try doing some homework yourself. What else you got?

We asked for a specific stat. TD's aloud. If it isan't in there, then why feel the need to post it?

its not like we were disuputing the other information

My bad. I thought HH was the one that had said he only knew from watching the games, and thus, you asking was redundant...but it wasn't. I regress...

Where exactly in there did he say that these stats were from him watching the games?

Watching the games often makes up for the stats.

I have video of 3 of Taylor's TDs given up.
1) vs Cowboys... Terry Glenn 40 yard TD catch
2) vs Texans... he gives up a LONG catch to Andre Johnson as Johnson comes straight thru Taylor's zone. Very next play, Taylor bites hard on the playaction fake and then tries to recover by chasing the TE who catches the TD pass
3) vs Giants... a 2 yard TD catch by Burress

I said I thought it was HH who said he accounted for the stats by watching games...but it wasn't HH. It was TEK2000. I know its late and I'm tired, but I don't think my posts are that confusing.
