Roy Williams weight issue...

Has anybody asked Jerry or the coaching staff if Roy Williams will be asked to drop weight? I really think that is the big issue. He can't be expected to do what he needs to do in coverage at 235. I say he should be required to play at 215-220 at the most. He is not by any means a ripped 235; no where near conditioned like T.O. He has plenty of room to lose useless body fat that does nothing but weigh him down. If he doesn't make weight, plug in Davis or Parrish until he does make weight. This just weems to me like a very logical issue to address with this guy and his coverage issues.

I know when I see a guy who runs light on his feet and when a guy is too heavy. Roy runs like he's overweight, plain and simple.

I don't think that is really much of a debate. Roy needs to lose 10-15 pounds. Just as important however, he needs to spend the entire off season working on pass coverage. Also he needs to keep in mind that making a play is more important than putting on a big hit. That 'jacked-up' segment on Monday Night Countdown is all he thinks about any more.

Roy would be best at 225 or less, but with Wade's system we won't see the problems that we had before. San Diego's secondary is horrible, but the pass rush covers all that up.

Man, I can't wait til the season starts and we see Roy play at the same weight and at the same position...and folks gives props to Wade for Roy's playmaking ability. It's bound to happen.

We can all sot here and name names of guys who have been "dozed" or stiff armed.

Its a physical league and impossible to be the bully 100% of the time.

Get real.

Roy only had the 5 picks because the opposing team needed to throw the ball and was just forcing balls in the air. Roy got burned way too many times and was the reason we had a horrible Defense. Roy is just a BAD player. Anybody that says that he is still a good player is living in denial. He cant even tackle anymore. If you look at the last 6-8 games he didnt make any Difference. He supposed to be a Playmake or a Momentum changer but hes not anymore. He's now just a bum. The Cowboys need to trade him. If we keep him his value will decrease rapidly and soon every Realistic Cowboys fan will want to run this guy out of town.

It's true. How many can you name that were actually valuable that turned the mo around. How many passes last year did he make a play when the other team went deep on us?

what is your evidence? Do you have a 40 time from his rookie year to compare to his 40 time now? Is the weigt making him more tired at the end of the game? How many leg injuries has he had? NONE?

The trainers on every team keep a very close eye on every one of the things I just mentioned.. and if he was not able to maintain speed, endurance and was having injuries, that was contributed to by his weight, you can bet it would have been addressed. Players today do not get to choose what they weigh, it is all done by the team.

Woo! Yep when were up 21-14 he comes up with a play that was going to be incomplete anyway. Yep Way to come up big Roy. Your Football's version of Alex Rodriguez.

ps. Way to make that one solo tackle in that game. LOL!!:lmao2: :lmao2: :lmao2:

Offenses scheme to burn his butt EVERY game.

EVERY game he gets burned on a big play. I mean every game. Find me a game where he doesn't get toasted.

I think 1 lol face would have done.

He didnt need tackles that game because he was laying out guys like Utect.

If you really wanna talk about RWs perfromance in the COlts game then ask EVERYONE around here what they thought.

You will be in very little company with those who think he had just an OK game.

I cannot wait till this upcomong season so we dont need to have ridiculous threads about RW.
