So we need to assume brad allen is on acid and of course number 70 because he was clearly reporting and did not know decker reported. You have to believe all these ridiculous assumptions, but me all i need to assume is Campbell is a cheater and no one was on acid either 70, 68 or brad allen.
We don't need to assume anything. They obviously miscommunicated. No reason to have three lineman there. It was a calculated mistake, in an attempt to confuse Dallas.

The had 70 reported multiple times during the game. They wanted Dallas to think it was 70 and not 68. They did such a good job they confused the Ref.

No theory here, just facts

The headcoach knows the play that's called..right?
The players know what play is called since they practiced it all week, season, right?
The players, since they know the play call know their assignments on that play, right?
The player 70 who knows he's the blocker isn't going to report as an eligible reciever then, right?
The headcoach always notify the refs prior to the game they could use this particular play if they need two points conversion..right?
Player 70 knows he’s the blocker because he blocked on the play. He also reported to brad allen before the play. It makes no sense other than as a way to confuse the officials to steal the game from dallas. Only one assumption. Campbell is a cheater and orchestrated it. Your theory about 10 assumptions including that decker reported (no proof of that), that the ref was on acid, that skipper was on acid, and more than likely Campbell was on acid for having players that take acid during games.

Of course it was orchestrated. Not need to believe everyone is on acid. And no miscommunication just orchestrated confusion vis a vis Campbell to screw dallas. And actually the refs were not confused but did the right thing. It was a classic bill Bellichick smokescreen to obviate rules to win a game. Very simple neat tidy package with only one assumption not 20.

That is not the point. 70 intention was to confuse and it worked. He did his job. All the players did what they were told to do by Cambell. It worked so well he confused the Ref.

Dan new it was confusing that is why he wanted to talk about it before the game.

You are also assuming they only had 1 version of this play. Maybe there was more than one and different formations. 70 had no business running and getting the attention of the Ref if he had nothing to do with the play.
No, the players know what play they're running and their responsibilities on that play, I'm can assume depending on the hash mark the ball is spotted on that the eligible receiver is lining up on the weak side or the strong side depending on where the ball was spotted and when 70 ran up to 68, he was telling him which side they were running the play on, that's common sense..

Well I can clearly argue they did not by using the facts. Facts are number 70 and not number 68 was declared an eligible receiver.

End of story. Game over.

And he screwed himself. Love it!!!che
Campbell will soon be seen for what he is. A win at any cost, cheating or not, kind of guy. You live by the sword you die by the sword. Does anyone see Nick Saban or Tom Landry as cheaters. Of course not. But Lance Armstrong, Joe Paterno, Bellichick, are widely known as disreputable people.

Campbell didn’t know what was going on based on his comment that the refs told him two players can’t report on that play becauss there was already 5 eligible players on the field and 6 is the max number of eligible players. His argument with the refs must have been that two players reported eligible.

The tv ref made it worst by telling the tv audience that two players could report eligible on that play without considering that there were already 5 eligible players on the field.

I think that could have been the confusion. 68 reported, then 70 reported. Can't have both. Since 70 reported last that is what was announced.

Every morning show, and pregame show of a dozen ex headcoaches, and ex players ALL said the refs screwed up the call...
Screwed up calling the WRONG NUMBER. They couldn't just let the play stand. It screwed Dallas by leaving a "eligible" receiver unwatched. Then only fair call was to throw a flag and replay the down.

Look here is the most parsimonious explanation: Campbell is a cheater and orchestrated all this. Only one assumption with some veracity given hx

here is the explanation with dozens of assumptions: 1)that decker reported 2)that brad allen either is confused, demented, or maliciously disregarded decker 3)that 70 did not report (contrary to empirical evidence) or that he did report and allen did not remember decker or wanted to disregard decker 4) that campbell is an upstanding human being with no capacity for cheating 5) that brad allen is demented and did not remember prior discussions before the game 6) that there was some reason why 58 and 68 both in the refs face when only decker was reporting. L

The Lions clearly did not communicate properly. No reason for 3 different lineman to report one eligible receiver.

The Lions screwed up.

So i guess that makes it true. How many people believe in ufos? that brad allen called the wrong number is an assumption that has no veracity, as has been explained skipper reported, brad allen acknowledged. Just the facts mam.

All unproven multiple assumptions. One assumption. Dan Campbell is a cheat and will continue cheating and will develop a reputation for cheating and it will damage his career immeasurably.

No reason to send 3 lineman to confuse him. Sounds like they need to practice executing that play a lot more.

All part of the obfuscation to try to confuse, create ambiguity, and to deprive dallas of the win. One assumption only and the video proof of 70 reporting. No argument even comes close to being more accurate.

So you are assuming Campbell and his players are just idiots and refs on acid? So you are telling me they havent practiced reporting to the refs? What pratice does that take. Even a moron knows how to do that. Why is everyone shielding Campbell from the blame for cheating which is more than likely the explanation vs a hundred other assumptions?
