I think the Raiders should do the following.

1. Trade Randy Moss.
2. Draft Calvin Johnson with the top pick.
3. Use their 2nd round pick for their QB of the future.
4. Use the rest of their picks for O-line.
5. Sign a Vet QB like Bledsoe.
6. Pray.

Absolutely the worst franchise in the NFL right now. Sad that a once proud franchise is this bad.
What quarterback in the second round do you perceive as a franchise player and why would he last until the second round if so?

The other 20-odd people who have posted in this thread, maybe?

All the 'boys free agents or previous players get threads on their movement, why not Bledsoe?

I know you didnt just use the words Bledsoe and movement in the same sentence ;)

Maybe the Raiders can sign Drew, grab a 6-7th rd or undrafted Free agent QB that no one thinks will make the team, who knows in a few season that guy may be able to push Bledsoe out of a starting job, naw couldnt happen 3 times

Bledsoe has been successful in the NFL. Sure, everyone here hates him, but it is clear that he has shown over and over again that he's a tough SOB who can be a very good QB in the right situation. There is a reason why he's been in the league so long.

Same reason Testaverde has been in the league so long. There is a serious lack of good Quarterbacks in the NFL. That's why mediocre ones like Deadslow have hung around forever. I guess you could also call it the 'bus driver effect'.

If that is true then I called it about a month ago that if any team picked him up it would be the Raiders. With the Raiders likely to draft a QB with their 1st pick Bledsoe would allow them to bring their QB up slowly instead of just throwing him to the wolves.

Only to be replaced by the rookie QB 5 games into the season... how much of that can Drew take... sheesh LOL

The Raiders are the last team that could use Bledsoe. I actually expected the Chiefs to offer him a contract if Trent Green is traded. Bledsoe would be OK behind that line while they develop Brodie Croyle.

The Raiders, IMO, should be looking at Carr for their QB spot. I really think that Carr is a player stuck in a bad situation but could turn it around as the Raiders are ok on Defense and need to rebuild their Lines.

But oh well, they will undoubtedly suck for the next 3 years.

Found this on ESPN's Raider board.

Has anyone heard this yet??? (See below):

Rumor has it Bledsoe is about to sign a 3yr 15 mill dollar deal, with Bledsoe on board, the Raiders will then draft Calvin Johnson number 1 and look for help with Donnie Edwards on defenes..

Wow. if this is true... You thought hew was a statue behind our line last year. Wait until he lines up in Oaktown. That will be comedy gold.

Ahhh, Young Frankenstein references...

That was, by far, the single best spoof of horror movies I've ever seen... and Lawd, when I was in my teens, did I LOVE Chiller Theater on late Saturday night, so I have a natural fondness for spoofs of those movies...

"What was that??"

"A werewolf"

"Werewolf??"

"There wolf... there castle"

"Why are you talking like that??"

"I don't know, I thought you wanted to"...

One of the funniest bits in that movie was the way Igor's hump was first on his left side, then on his right... and the scene with Peter Boyle as the Monster and Gene Hackman as the blind hermit was fargin' hilarious, too... the look on the Monster's face when the hermit "lit" the end of his finger always destroys me...
