Why does that make you upset?

Sure-McNabb finally has a #1 wideout. HOWEVER...HOWEVER...

I think we all KNOW that Asante Samuel can NOT lock down his own side of the field in man-man coverage schemes.

With Lito out of the picture, Jim Johnson may have to reign in his own playbook a bit. Remember last year when Newman and Henry were hurt, and their backups were zone cover corners? Even Wade had to reign in his blitz packages.

I think if that trade were to go through, Philly gets the better end of that deal.

I think Philly will have to give up more than L Sheppard.

This doesn's surprise me.

I read a post by a Philly fan over at nfldraftcountdown that Drew Rosenhaus was seen at Philly's camp.

The fan asked him if Boldin was coming to Philly....Rosenhaus reportedly told the fan to "stay tuned".

I think that if JJ wanted Boldin, he could put together a trade as well.

For what? We don't have a chip as enticing as Sheppard that we will part with.

no way would the Cardinals trade Boldin for Sheppard straight up.......this is just a rumour started by a hopeful Eagles fan

Boldin for Sheppard straight up? That wouldn't be even at all.

Since when did Boldin become a dominant reciever? He's good but not good enough to make Philly a better team than Dallas. If you think it does you need help.

Some time during the very first game he played in the NFL.

Here's the reason for Drew being at their camp.

Sorry I'm posting it again, just some might have missed it.

SHEPPARD, AGENT MEET WITH REID, BANNER

Posted by Mike Florio on July 26, 2008, 11:03 p.m.
A source with knowledge of the situation tells us that Eagles cornerback Lito Sheppard and agent Drew Rosenhaus held on Saturday a sit-down with Eagles coach Andy Reid and team president Joe Banner.
The meeting was described as calm and productive. Sheppard still wants a trade or a new contract.
The Saturday hamstring injury to Asante Samuel might have caused the Eagles to realize that it would be prudent to keep both Samuel and Sheppard. If they do, however, they’ll likely need to bump up Sheppard’s salary significantly.
Sheppard is signed through 2011, at salaries of $2 million, $3 million, $3.7 million, and $4.25 million, respectively over the next four seasons.
With Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin unhappy in Arizona and resigned to departing once his contract expires after the 2010 season, a trade of Sheppard for Boldin might make sense. The Eagles likely would have to kick in a little bit more to even out the package, and both teams would have to be ready to pony up the cash to the player received via any such transaction.

This trade would weaken their depth at CB now that Samuels has a bad hammy.
