Here's the reason for Drew being at their camp even though I read a article that said about the same thing the fan saying.

Sorry I'm posting it again, just some might have missed it.

SHEPPARD, AGENT MEET WITH REID, BANNER

Posted by Mike Florio on July 26, 2008, 11:03 p.m.
A source with knowledge of the situation tells us that Eagles cornerback Lito Sheppard and agent Drew Rosenhaus held on Saturday a sit-down with Eagles coach Andy Reid and team president Joe Banner.
The meeting was described as calm and productive. Sheppard still wants a trade or a new contract.
The Saturday hamstring injury to Asante Samuel might have caused the Eagles to realize that it would be prudent to keep both Samuel and Sheppard. If they do, however, they’ll likely need to bump up Sheppard’s salary significantly.
Sheppard is signed through 2011, at salaries of $2 million, $3 million, $3.7 million, and $4.25 million, respectively over the next four seasons.
With Cardinals receiver Anquan Boldin unhappy in Arizona and resigned to departing once his contract expires after the 2010 season, a trade of Sheppard for Boldin might make sense. The Eagles likely would have to kick in a little bit more to even out the package, and both teams would have to be ready to pony up the cash to the player received via any such transaction.

This trade would weaken their depth at CB now that Samuels has a bad hammy.

Interesting.

Thanks.

I didn't know what to think when I saw that post. This makes sense. I didn't know if any Philly player had DR as an agent.

Why? Would the addition of Boldin suddenly and automatically make the Eagles offense superior to our defense? Of course not.

Regardless of the 'upgrades' of other teams, our team's roster is the only factor to worry about. If it lives up to its potential, it's talented enough to win in February. If it falls short of playing to its highest ability, it doesn't really matter how another team's roster, inside or outside, has improved.

It always boils down to Football 101. The Cowboys have a Super Bowl caliber roster. You figure it out.

Give us a break. you only get on here to spray your doom and gloom. Some of us wish you would go back to where ever you came from.

If Boldin is for sale, I don't see any team outbidding Philly. Philly also has two #1 picks at their disposal for trade bait.

When is he going to make himself standout from Fitz? Or is Fitz a dominant reciever too.

They're both easily top 10 receivers in the league.

Hey, Bizwah, I just noticed you posted that eagles fan's quote on this thread

page 3 and I responded with this same article above. My bad, sorry about going in circles.

I can't believe you responded with all those words to this TROLL...! Go look at his prior posts...he does nothing but dog any and every player, coach, and Jerry himself! He might throw a bone someones way for a time or two, but that's just to be sure that his persona does not get detected, yet it already has.

KEEP UP!

Regardless of the trade, the NFC East will be a tough division. NYG, Philly and Wash and Dallas all have good teams and potential. Dallas seems the better team on paper right now. We shall see how the season plays out.

I didn't know being top 10 made you DOMINANT, but thanks for the insight.

I could careless if the Eagles get Boldin.

Yeah... not only that, seriously, if Arizona is balking at paying Boldin a new contract, wouldn't Lito S. compared w/other CBs out there, command just as much moola or more?

Besides, if the Eagles could actually get Arizona to consider that trade, then Arizona would definitely be open to a Henry for Boldin trade. Either way, I don't see either happening.

We also have ammo in form of picks and I think we have more tradable depth than they do even though I not wanting to deplete it any.

Also there are other factors.

Another regurgitated thread of mine below:

Boldin has some say in where he goes because both him and the new team will want a new deal signed. He'll look at the differences between us and philly.

1. Philly's management sucks and Dallas's doesn't.

2. Dallas is a contender and Philly blew their wad (opportunity).

3. Dallas is the spot light of the NFL and Philly is the back porch light.

4. Dallas's QB is a rising star and Philly's is a fallen star.

$$$. Jerry man handles his BRINKS truck and Jeffery can't even get his truck started. $$$

Boldin: hmmm......decisions, decisions

would anyone be opposed to give the Cards a 1st + Carpenter for Boldin? We have a ton of picks for next season....and we really don't have many openings on the team.

IMO, trading a late 1st and a 1st rounder who cant get on the field is worth it for a Pro Bowl WR.

Some time during the very first game he played in the NFL.

What?

In his first game he had 10 catches for 217 yards and 2 tds.

I'd hardly call that dominant. :laugh2:

Anquan Boldin is a dominant wide reciever? Like, you guys are serious? Oh my!

Maybe we have different opinions on what dominant is. Dominant is Steve Smith, Randy Moss, Terrell Owens. That is it. But whatever
