No way! I want McNabb in this division for as long as possible. You can always count on him to throw that key interception or make that poor decision that costs his team the game. No way I want Philly rebuilding with a Brady Quinn type quarterback.

McNabb signed a 10 year contract, here's hoping he plays it out and then some for the Philadelphia Eagles.

:pray2:

Easy to make cracks on McNabb, but want him in our division for as long as possible??? Have you checked out our record against him in the past 5-6 years?

I'd trade Romo for McFlabb any day of the week..

You would trade a probowl QB that is in his 20s for an injury prone QB in his 30s coming off a major knee injury and is not even the best QB on his own team?

I will stick with Romo any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Donovan McNabb seems like a nice guy. You'd hate to see something like this happen to him. Getting shipped to the Detroit Lions is like getting sent to Leavenworth. But that's the rumor that's being circulated, both in the Ann Arbor News and in Miami during Super Bowl festivities, that the Eagles could send McNabb to the Lions for the second overall pick in the draft, and in turn use that pick for Notre Dame quarterback Brady Quinn.

McNabb will speak publicly for the first time since his November knee injury today, and he might be asked about the vocal minority of Eagles fans who would like to see him sent packing. We already know McNabb has some gripes. Would the Eagles really want to get rid of him and build the franchise around a rookie?

That seems highly unlikely. The Eagles could be a legitimate Super Bowl contender in 2007, and bringing in a rookie quarterback would be a rebuilding move. The real story here may be how hungry NFL fans are for any kind of information about their teams. The Eagles have been out of it for two weeks, and the Lions have been out of it for six years. Fans of both teams just want to hear something juicy, and McNabb to the Lions definitely fits.

So the Kitties are going to trade Quinn/Russel to Philly to be groomed behind Garcia for 1-2 years before becoming 10 yr starters and they get in return an injury prone QB in his 30s coming off a major knee injury and is not even the best QB on his own team. Also, said 30 something QB has a tendency to get tired in big games and spray the field with chunky soup.

Somebody call 911...........rape in progress.

No, no, no. Donovan McNabb is not coming to the Detroit Lions.

Most fans who are knowledgeable about the Lions situation -- not to mention the NFL salary cap -- are well aware there's no chance the Lions are going to trade their second overall pick for McNabb. Still, since the rumor is making the rounds on AOL, it needs to be addressed.

A call to the Lions, just to make sure, drew a hearty laugh. While the Lions respect McNabb as a quarterback, that's not one of the many positions they're hoping to address in the off-season.

So, no, it's not going to happen. The writer was merely speculating about what he thinks the Lions "should'' do, not reporting any info that talks, internal or otherwise, have actually happened.

Sorry but Brady Quinn is not even close to being as good as the QB's that were drafted this year. He has an erratic throwing motion as if he is throwing a baseball pitch and he is a little slow in reading defenses. He is the default high draft QB this year. Maybe if I was getting the #2 overall last year, I would consider making this move. I like McNabb but his injuries are a concern.

You're in the wrong business. Sounds like you know something about Quinn that no one else in all of football knows.

McFlabb sucks.

People thought I was crazy when I said he wouldn't be starting for philthy in 07. Well, do I still seem as crazy as before? Mark these words... New QB for philthy in 07.

Pull your Silver and Blue wool away from your eyes....

Romo was the "Flavor of the week" when he was voted in.

Ill take a guy that can get to the NFC championship game multiple times with Todd Pinkston, Freddie Mitchell, Greg Lewis etc... anyday over the guy that was "Moxie'd Out" when it really mattered.

I like Romo's Potential but McFlabb just tore one ligament. Albeit it was his "ACL" its not a "Major Knee Injury".

Carson tore three ligaments in a Playoff game and still produced less than 9 months later.

Romo is just a knee injury away from going from the next Steve Young to one year wonder....

26 years old and 30 years old... Does 4 years in age difference really matter that much? I dont think so.

Funny how whoever takes over for McNabb, ends up making the team better.
The Eagles were 5-5 when McNabb got hurt, and he was playing like crap (He played well early against weak teams, but was falling apart before he got hurt)

A. J. Feeley in 2003
Garcia in 2006

If there ever was a system QB, McNabb is one. Problem is, he usually isn't even the best QB on his team, at running the system.

On top of that, he has weak guts and pukes everythime the pressure is on.

In real life, no, but in NFL life it is absolutely a huge difference.....and in a ridculous trade like this the Lions would have to look at how many good years McNabb may have left if he recovers from this knee surgery....once again I would say this would be an idiotic trade for the Lions....if they were tradin a 2nd rounder and maybe a 4th, then maybe, but to trade the #2 overall for a 30 year old QB that is injured may be right up there with the Walker trade (Minnesota) on the stupidity meter.
