I don't think Terry Glenn has caused so much division since he left New England and his whole fight with Belichick... it's actually kind of funny really.

I've said before, that I have nothing against Terry Glenn personally. But I put the team before his personal needs.

I want what's best for the Cowwboys, be that Glenn or someone else.

Is it 'crying' to criticize the lack of moves rather than be a mindless lemming and not question anything the team does or doesn't do?

Thanks, but I choose to think for myself.

Obviously. So do I. At some point you just have to accept that those choice were made. Not that you agree with those choices or not. Dallas is going into the season with TO, Crayton, Hurd, Austin, Stanback and maybe Glenn. This is not likely to change. Even if you replace one of those guys with Matt Jones, the same concerns remain. It will be TO, a decent Crayton and a bunch of unknowns. That will be one of the teams weaknesses. There are many reasons how Dallas got there. Nothing barring a miracle trade can change that now.

Doesn't mean I have to like it!

If you're undervaluing the young talent on the roster, and assigning too much importance to two games in assessing the injury status of a very talented WR already on the roster, then criticizing the team for drafting to their evaluation rather than reaching for a player as they might have done in the past, well, it might not be crying, but it's not exactly sensible.

It's possible to conclude that the team just values the players they have more than you do and hope that you're wrong without assuming the rest of us are lemmings for approving of the way the Cowboys have handled the position.

For my part, I don't want to see them add anyone to the roster who doesn't at least represent a talent comparable to a healthy TG. Anything less than that would be pointless.

Until we see the end results, I think it's 'sensible'.

The receiver position currently has more questions than answers.

Someone is as much a 'lemming' for blindly following anything the team says and does as much as another is 'crying' for questioning it. See how that works?

Why would that be?

Terry Glenn doesn't represent a 'healthy Terry Glenn' anymore. Why should someone else be held to a standrad Glenn himself can no longer reach?

Yes, it is.

I think this is the most successful FALSE rumor thread of all time.

It is endlessly amazing the way trusting or criticizing the team for moves or lack thereof garners such banter and borderline hostility (no ref to Hostile, BTW). It doesn't matter what we think here: it just wastes time. It'll be a few months before we know how it turns out and some can crow about it, for whatever good it will do.

I guess as long as no one's TV or pet gets shot in the meantime, it's all good.

I see some hoping and an assumption there. I see nothing that says they've 'worked out together' at Valley Ranch or anywhere else.

"We saw really good stuff from here out here," Jones said. "You can talk about what he is and what he can do, but you just have to see it. He's back here, he's doing all the kind of things . . . you can't tell by that. He would be a progress-stopper if he were here and you had 10-percent odds. So if we didn't think that he didn't have a chance to be everything we wanted him to be, then we wouldn't have him back here. It would push back the progress of the other receivers. But we're seeing everything we need to see. He's out here working with the quarterbacks. He's out here, and we're seeing it."

I saw that statement - back in April, before the team starting holding any of their team activities.

For me, it's about as legitimate as them saying how 'great he looked' last year.

If they were so confident, there wouldn't be a need for a waiver.

Until he shows he can do it, I'll have my doubts.

I lived through the 2007 wait-and-see season.
