Rumor? Has anyone else heard about this?

I'd bet anything that this is a completely bogus rumor.

Look at who they've been looking at during the Senior Bowl, not one QB, and all players in the Mid 1st round Draft status.

In other words, baloney.

Well, this trade does make a ton of sense when you think about it.

Jerry has a new stadium he needs to fill. What better player to spark Texan's interest than Vince Young.

We need a franchise qb, this guy is supposed to be that.

Something big is going to happen this offseason. I wouldn't put this one past jerry.

I doubt that the rumor is true and if they are trying to move up how do you know they are not intrested in A. J Hawk(LB)
As good as Hawk is, you wouldn't have to jump to 2 to get him.

Notice that Leinart or Cutler aren't mentioned as a possibility. Not even at a lower spot. That means the rumor likely started in the mind of someone who is a Horns and Cowboys fan who thinks Vince Young is the only chance this team has.

It's transparent. Pure agenda, and pure propoganda.

I'd like to get a QB like Vince Young, but just don't know if it's worth it or not. It would be if he'd be the starter right away, but with Bledsoe being here he won't,so.

I really don't have much to say on the rumor.

I will say that the thought of Bledsoe "mentoring" Vince Young is hilarious. Talk about contrasting styles.

Drew: Vince, what are you doing?
Vince: Uh, running. No one was open.
Drew: Ru..nn..ing....what? Don't make up words, rookie.
Vince: No, running. You move your feet fast and go forward. Get some yards.
Drew: Stop being silly. Just stand here like me.

Is anyone here going to tell me that Vince Young is so superior to Leinart or Cutler that they wouldn't even be an option in the equation?

Come on, tell me another faery tale.

:lmao2:

We are the Dallas Cowboys.

We don't need a gimmick QB like Vince Young to fill seats.

That is something low class, like what the Texans would do to fill Reliant Stadium.

It's not about filling seats it's about filling a need at the QB position and winning games now and in the future.

I dont believe the rumor. Although I dont think Young is superior to Leinart or Cutler I dont feel niether of them are superior to Young either. So all equal, I feel like they would be trading up to get Young.

Not that Cowboys need gimmiks to sell seats but it wouldnt hurt.

He's not a gimmick QB. He's very talented. Like I said it would be to upgrade the QB position and win football games. Not fill seats. We don't need that.

Right now, he is a gimmick QB. He cannot run a conventional offense and has not done so at Texas. Mack Brown has admitted as much.

That doesn't mean he won't be good in time, but right now he would be a sideshow attraction will more to offer as a spectacle than as an NFL calibre signalcaller.

Then why not let him sit and learn behind someone like Bledsoe.

Can you imagine what it would cost to go from 18 to 2?! No way we have the ammo to do that, nor should we if we did.

Remember the last time we traded away high picks for one player? The Seahawks sure do and it's the main reason they are playing tomorrow.

Ok then lets wait til next year and hope we can get a qb then. Trade up for my boy Brady Quinn,lol...

How in the hell would the Cowboys even work out a trade like this? I can't imagine what the Saints would want in return.

Yeah we'd probably have to give up to much in return. Never know it could be worth it in the end. Who knows.

How bout no.

That would be stupid.

D'Brick is the only pick worth that high.
Goota say if you can swing it, geting Young or Lienart would be as good as getting Ferguson. We can build a line on FAy. You think the boys would take a sure fire QB like young and not build a damn cement wall around him. That line will be top notch if we are investing 100 million in a young or Lienart. I guarentee you that.

Yeah I agree picking up lineman through free agency is a heck of a lot easier then getting a qb that way.
