Rumor Herman to Texas all but official

I believe Herman gets the job because I believe this was done by mid-season.
I don't think much really could have changed all the hand shake deals in place with Texas biggest boosters.
Part of the Big 12 denying entry to Houston was not wanting that school to cut into recruiting. UT will hit them where it hurts by grabbing a young, energetic coach.
Luster has been lost with Herman this year as HOU has tailed off but he did beat OU this year and it looks like he was great until he had a new job all lined up.

Tom Herman is the answer! For ANY job in the state of Texas or surrounding areas (Oklahoma/Louisiana)

At least you guys have the money to fire your downtrodded coach, Tech may be stuck with Kliff because the 10m buyout its too rich.
I watched only 1 quarter yester5day for the first time in about 10 years where I wasn't traveling or stuck working.
Worst display of football I've seen.

As soon as Houston gets two steps forward, another Texas college sneezes and all of a sudden, our coach is a goner. We have lost coaches to Baylor, A&M, and potentially UT.. The way I feel, I hate all y'all... lol

Sorry Houston fans, but yall knew it was comin for months......Anyway as a Longhorns fan Im happy with this hire....I was a big supporter of the Charlie Strong hire also, but we were obviously wrong on him. Hopefully Tom Herman will be a different story. Gives us at least somethin to hold our heads up after a second straight 5-7 year and sittin out Bowl season....

Well, I hate it turned out this way. I liked Coach Strong, he inherited a mess and the talent level had really dropped. Would like to have seen him given the full five years, but it is what it is.

I liked Charlie too. Hey, he's an easy guy to like. He stands for things bigger then Football and I think you have to commend that but, when you are hired to win Football games at a University like Texas, people are not going to settle for less, no matter how important some of the other things might be.
At the end of the day, we played terrible Defense and that is Charlie's calling card. Can't have that.

UH just has to keep long term goals in mind.
Spend big for coaches and maintain top 25 level teams.
Someone will offer them in expansion in next 5 years.
P5 will stretch a bit more and settle before cutting off everyone else.
HOU is long-shot in B12 but this B12 isn't gonna last as is anyways.
I am thankful Herman stayed in Texas because we don't need another coach at LSU or elsewhere recruiting the crap out of our state.
Tired of watching non-Texas schools win national titles with Texas kids.
UH may well grab Dana Holgerson. He and WVA AD are not friendly.

I have a strong legitimate hate for B12. I hope UH never joins their conference. I hate every team in it except TCU. lol
I'm not in the mood to have a reasonable discussion about the future of UH. It's annoying. Unless you can tell me you know how it feels to be used as a step-stool for someone's career aspirations every two years and to see your school's growth stunted at every turn, that is.

Tech lost its best ever Coach because spoiled *** Adam James complained to Daddy, Adam about being locked in a closet after he complained the sun was too bright for his eyes.
WE lost the guy who gave Art Briles, KK, DH, LR all their first major college experience.
FOR NOTHING.
We went from 8 or 9 wins yearly to under .500 in the conference EVERY YEAR.
At least HOU keeps winning. You guys will get another coach and keep maintaining at least 8 win seasons.
