We'll see if it happens. Guess the Iggles are banking on Kolb and Vick to be their QB's. Open competition.

Not really a bad deal.

Why does he have to be in the NFC? I mean if he gets traded to the panthers(?) that could possibly make them the best team in the NFL. Throw to smitty and have off to williams and stewart...

Why wouldn't the eagles just wait for Peppers to become a FA. The Panthers aren't going to give him 20M+ this year.

I cant imagine Peppers would be happy, it's not what he wants and can the Panthers even trade him? He's not under contract

Why would the Eagles trade a top ten QB to Carolina, an NFC team who is probably a QB away from having another 12-4 season a couple years ago?

Peppers would help them play their pressure game and the combination of him and Cole could be quite lethal. I think from Philly's point of view it is a great trade. It would almost immediately force us to get better at Tackle.

McNabb is good but not great at this stage of his career. Who is he behind now in the NFC? Romo, Eli, Rodgers, Favre (pending retirement decision), Brees and Matt Ryan (his future is better than McNabb's).

does sound a little fishy doesnt it, what it maybe is speculation on some sports writer and his thoughts etc. but no true info, just speculation,

because like you said, they can wait out and get peppers for free but one thing that might suggest otherwise, remember they did trade for jason peters the big OT from buffalo

so could go either way, again though like someone posted, why would the eagles give the panthers a top qb that might beat them in the playoffs and you still dont know if kolb can be your star qb

plus a number 2 pick too;

yeah i dont take for granted most cowboys stuff he tries to tell me now, because of one main thing, he always gets things mixed up and forgets things, he even said the other day that bradford qb for oklahoma was qb for alabama, when i told him i would bet him $100 he changed his tune; and he is a wade homer all the way, thinks everything wade does is super, and anyone else that says something negative about wade is an idiot, and all the other coaches are idiots even coach joe d.

Peppers and a high pick for an aging QB? Doesn't make sense. Besides, I thought Matt Moore was their QB of the present and future.

So they can get him and a 2nd rounder.

I can't foresee them getting a better deal than that.

That is one hell of a deal.

So they can guarantee that he's an Eagle and not get into a bidding war.

*Edit* And what Hoof said.

I don't want Peppers on the Eagles. They're good enough. Someone needs to answer the question about who owns Peppers' rights. My guess is the Panthers can franchise him then trade him. Does that sound right?

Maybe I'm the minority but I'm more upset over the idea of McNabb leaving Filthy then Peppers coming in.

i will say this if it is true, the eagles will be really nasty on defense if they get peppers, kinda like when we got charles haley, but at same time, it will make the eagles weaker at qb, because i dont think Kolb is ready at QB, hasnt seen enough of defenses yet etc.

also on vick i think he is just a former shelf of himself, lost too much missing time he did in football
