Good grief people. Give the guy some space before blasting him.
The team just spent $10M per on Carr and drafted a TOP CB prospect #6 overall. This is not about Jenkins being afraid of competition. With Jenkins rehabbing a serious injury this competition is over.
It is understandable if the day after the draft he is confused as to his best next steps. The guy very likely has the skills, if he gets healthy, for a very good payday. But the road to that destination is now very, very cloudy.
He's confused. I'll give him some space.

Seriously, I think he's just responding similarly to how you are. He's very disappointed and saying the first thing he can think of in response. Cooler heads will prevail and we'll make the best of this tough situation.
Maybe that will be a trade, in time. I just hope we don't to make a snap judgment when that really doesn't serve us well. I don't think we will. I fully expect Mike Jenkins will be part of this team through training camp.
