Look ever since garrett took over the nature and philoshpy of this team has changed. COMPETITION IS WHAT MAKES CHAMPIONSHIP BALL CLUBS. COMPETITION IS WHAT WE ARE TRYING TO DO HERE IN ORDER TO GET TO THAT CHAMPIONSHIP CONTENDING LEVEL YOU MUST BATTLE FOR YOUR SPOT. DONT GET ME WRONG I WANT JENKINS TO STAY AND IT WILL BE NICE TO HAVE A DOMINATE 4 CB GROUP (IF IT ALL PANS OUT) BUT HIS SPOT WILL NOT BE JUST GIVEN TO HIM THE REST OF THE TEN ON DEFENSE HAVE TO DO THE SAME TO GET ON THE FIELD. IF HIS ATTITUDE IS TO CHANGE BECAUSE YOU HAVE TO COME IN AND GO TO WORK????? AND WORK HARD THEN YOU DONT NEED TO BE ON THIS TEAM BECAUSE PLAIN AND SIMPLE THIS WAS A MAJOR PROBLEM WITH THIS DEFENSE LAST SEASON AND I DONT BLAME THE FO FOR PUTTING PRESSURE ON THE PLAYERS INVOLVED WITH THIS . IF I WAS IN HIS POSITION I WOULD GET HEALTHY ASAP COME IN TO WORK. WORK MY A%% OFF AND PROVE A POINT THAT I CAN BE THAT GUY ALSO BUT NOT JUST MY TEAM BUT TO ALL 31 ONE TEAMS.

He' a friggen idiot! The Cowboys just drafted some good defense players that can help him rest during games so that he does not have to play injured or while he's still in rehab, and the fool does not appreciate that?

That kind of attitude just pissed me off...ship his butt to the worst team in the NFL and see how he likes it.

You guys just aren't seeing this thing from Jenkins perspective. If he's relegated to the 3rd or 4th cb role it diminishes his stock going into fa.

JMO but it would be a huge mistake to trade Jenkins because his value is too low now.

Play him this year, let him walk in free agency, get a higher draft pick in compensation from the league.
My thoughts exactly. Add to that the fact that he's in a contract year, and we should be getting the best the guy has to offer.

I disagree. I think that we go into training camp with Carr being the only 100% sure thing as far as starters in the secondary are concerned. Even though Jerry gave up too much for Claiborne, I have to think that Jenkins will be given every opportunity to be the number two guy.

i think jenkins will calm down and realize if he comes in and handles his business with rehab, he will be starting along side carr.

the fact that he is throwing a temper tantrum b/c we decided to pick the best defensive player in the draft does not speak well to his competitiveness and drive.

Not sure I would qualify a trade request as a "temper tantrum". Did he say or do something that I'm just not seeing?

requesting a trade is pretty extreme you don't think?

he's basically saying he has no desire to be on this team anymore b/c of a draft pick. we haven't even started OTA's yet and he's running away from competition.

I don't find it extreme at all. I don't think he's a big enough name to really request one but I don't have an issue with it.

I agree that it's a little extreme, but I guess I was just a little thrown off by you referring to it as a "temper tantrum". I guess I was reading into it a little too literally; thought I was missing something.

No, I don't have an issue with it at all. Ultimately, he has to do what he feels is best for he and his family, if that's a trade, then I tip my cap to him for requesting; assuming he's doing it in a professional manner.

guy cowered and backed down vs. the giants a couple years ago when he ducked that tackle against bradshaw....his days are numbered and that's fine by me.

I have no idea here, because I didn't read any facebook stuff, but is it possible that Mike saying "he asked for it" could have meant that them going out and getting these corners is partially his fault because he's been very inconsistent and hasn't stayed healthy?

I am going out on the limb here, I know, to give the guy the benefit of the doubt but I'm just not sure I'm going to jump on him for some comment on facebook.

I wonder do the Cowboys still sign Brandon Carr if they thought Claiborne would be available for them?

You know, that is a great question.
