I totally agree that Gregory is a dumpster fire that deserves to be gone (if he DID relapse), and your last three sentences nailed it especially. But I also think that Mara and his minions devote man hours to aiding the cause of negative impact on the Cowboys, planting rumors and dropping hints with emails and phone calls to the media and league offices. Wouldn’t surprise me AT ALL if Gregory’s not on the field against NY, especially if Dallas wins/NY loses today.

LOL. Mara makes our players do dumb things like break the rules, not know the rules, or not perform well on the field. Of course.

There is a strong likelihood that an NFL career is not in the cards for Gregory.

Well this settles it. RG will have a dominant performance today just because. It’s fun toying with us cowboys fans.

Saw that on Gameday morning.

I love the term relapse. I feel if it was a failed drug test, why not just say that.

God I hate the media.

I agree. Tell us what the problem is. I'm sure the FO knows full well what's going on, but, if it's a failed drug test again, then he really should be sent packing. I really hope it's not a failed drug test though.

Never said that. Never inferred that. That’s on you. I SAID that dumpster fires deserve it. But if you think Mara and his minions are NOT trying to nudge negativity in our laps (legally and in subtle ways, of course), you’re a combination of stubborn, naive, and in denial.

Sooo if it was in August, why wait til right before our game to drop this news when we have already made all our roster moves??

Guess they want to keep whippin' up on Jerry.

Yeah, this is what I think it is:

I strongly suspect this of being fake news. 1. Our team would have known that by now. 2. It's released on game day. 3. He met with league doctors not that long ago: https://cowboyswire.usatoday.com/20...-nfl-suspension-reinstatement-league-meeting/. IF there was an issue, THAT would be when they would've found out. Yet, NOTHING further was heard about that. This was late August, but I think he ended up meeting with them after the Texans preseason game if I'm not mistaken. Again, IF there was an issue, this would've been announced VERY quickly, and I strongly suspect that would've found its way to the media very quickly, so I'm not buying this story from :espn:. Fake news!

Wonder how much we knew on cut day. If this is true, and we knew about it, then we should've gone a little heavier at DE.

We cut Tapper and Ealy. Of course, they can always move Crawford back to RDE.

The nfl seems to be easing off on its punitive stance to certain drug use. It appears they're catching on to the fact there are better ways to deal with the issue than just punitive measures. Perhaps there is some leniency in randy's future. I hope so.

There is something there.

Schefter has too many sources and has been around too long to just make something like this up.

It’s one thing to be wrong about a trade rumor or a rumored FA signing. Completely different situation here.

Relapse ? Didn’t he go beginning of September or end of August to meet with the league and everything went well?

This story is very vague and hope is nothing.

That's what I recall. If there was a problem, THAT is when it would've come out. I don't buy this story for one minute! Not just because I'm a Cowboys fan, but because the timing of this is suspicious as hell. Seems to me that the league's scared of what he's capable of and is trying to put a muzzle on him for next week.

I suppose, but the timing is just really suspicious to me. If there's an issue, wouldn't it have come out during his meeting with team doctors? Yet, I don't think anything did come out of it. In fact, it sounded like he was cleared by them from what I recall. So why would there all of a sudden be an issue now dating back to August? I really don't buy this.

yeah pat him on the back and tell him to try harder and at the end of the year give him a star or a blue ribbon for trying to be a responsible adult.

Gregory told Fisher last week that he has no pending disciplinary issues with the league regarding a failed test. Fish speculates, that because Randy's reinstatement has so many requirements, that he may have violated one of the requirements and not necessarily failed a test.

Okay, I could buy that there might be a violation of a requirement, but, if there was an issue medically, would not the league doctors released that report? I mean, it doesn't take that long for blood work to come back. Hell, when I'm at the surgery (doctor's office), my blood work comes back rather quickly. I can usually find out later that night or early the next day online. Just as an example of what I suspect the league doctors had him do.

I don't pretend to know what Mara does in his spare time but you make the assumption that Mara and other owners are crazed fanatics of their teams like you are. Mara and all the owners play for the green team. They're not fans, they're businessmen. Trust me, if we won 4 Super Bowls in a row but Mara made more than any other owner during that time span, he couldn't care less what the Giants are doing. He just needs to pretend he cares and keep backing up the Brinks truck.

Not the league. It’s mara that’s scared and wants a edge for his team.

There is no conspiracy against the cowboys or Gregory. The fact is Randy suffers a serious psychological problem that the NFL deals with using medieval methodolgy. That has to change.
