Running back candidates

So, any idea on how these guys actually did at their work outs?

I see it as phase 1 of there HB search. They are gonna work out some street FA's to see if any of them will be able to chip in some quality carries. If that doesn't work out, I believe they will be exploring trade options before camp. If that doesn't work out, they will look at preseason cuts and bubble players

I think the trade option will be the last resort

Never heard of this scrub, but he can't be any worse than McFadden and his 3.3 YPC

How many more scrubs are we going to look at until we get serious about bringing in a legit back?

I still can't believe we actually had freaking Felix jones fresh off his 4.9 run at the vet combine in for a workout.

Cowboys work out rbs literally every offseason. In fact that's how we acquired Ryan Williams last year when we had Demarco Murray.

This is how normal teams operate.

Is this people's first time following a team in the offseason?

I would seriously love to know how this reality feels for those shills that just knew we were going to rollout with Larry, Moe, & Curly. RBBC....:muttley:

While they were busy gravy training, a few of us knew this activity would come soon. I will admit it came sooner than I expected it to. Glad we're now taking action.

Barry Sanders is out there.

See my previous post. Stop embarrassing yourself.

Lmfbo...hahaha.. Give the man credit he deserves?! Yeah, ok. He deserves to miss an entire season for blatantly cheating and then not cooperating with the NFL's investigation. His team and now Tom Brady himself have been caught red handed trying to gain a competitive advantage several times already...I don't care how anyone spins it.. IT'S CHEATING!.

Now on to the numbers.. I love it when people throw out Championships and act like the QB was the only player on the field. It takes a discipline, talented, and hungry group of 53 players buying into the coaches schemes to win a championship. It helps that Brady had a coach that most consider one of the best for his WHOLE career. So to say Brady is better than Romo based on that is ridiculous. Brady couldn't wear Dan Marino's underwear in comparison. So please pump the brakes on your counter argument. Career statistical evidence closes the comparison gap, but is also flawed due to what a QB is asked to do based on the team surrounding him. For example, Troy Aikman was one of the most accurate QB's of all time, but he didn't put up tremendous numbers due to the all-time leading rusher behind him and NFL rules didn't favor QB's at the time. (There's a reason why the tuck rule was installed- partly due to a crying Tom Brady). Tony Romo has a better career QB rating, TD percentage, and through his first 100 games.. was the top five QB all-time! And he did this with teams that were mediocre at best. And Brady can only dream of having the skill set to allude on coming pass rushers.

So next time you want to get on a Cowboys blog and promote Tom Brady.. DON'T. Its lame. I hear there are other sites to talk ab brady, you might want to visit them..I hear his feeling a little deflated these days.

Wow....you really took the time to type all of that garbage to put me in my place for saying something I never said...instead of looking like a fool how about read the thread and see that I didn't say Brady was better than Romo. I made the comparison in response to someone saying they were not even close to each other last year...clearly they were close.

Next time you want to go off you may want to pump the brakes and take the time to read the thread.

While I agree it's not just about super bowls since guys like Trent Dilfer have rings. Brady has been both spastically great and also championship great his entire career. This is without ever having amazing talent surrounding him on offense. Most of his success has been with no name players around him...it's not a knock on Romo that Brady is also a great QB.

I wish we'd kept DeMarco if all of a sudden it seems like they're not comfortable as they said they were at the position.

CJ2K... seriously Joneses... the guy has only had 1 season where he had less than 1,400 total yards and that was only because he was used in a limited capacity last year. Yea I know he isn't the 2,000 yard back he once was... but he did help the Jets to have the #3 rushing attack last year. Just get it done.

In the last week I have went from wanting nothing to do with Chris Johnson to hoping we sign him. This is what happens when the reality of going into the season with Ben Tate, Felix jones or Daniel Thomas sets in.

We let Murray sign with the Eagles and then after realizing Adrian Peterson wasn't coming to Dallas we hold out hopes that we will grab a running back in the draft that everyone says is deep at RB....now we are working out Tate, Jones and Thomas....crap.

Oh boy, if they sign Felix I reckon I'll be able to hear the board exploding from here in Australia.

RBs are a dime a dozen

so what's the problem ?

just cause they are not picking your favorite RB
