Running back candidates

I agree that they are looking and that they have some questions still about the running back position. Unfortunately bringing in Ben Tatertot and Felix Jones do not make me feel awesome about the method they are choosing to ease the concerns they have.

I also believe the starting running back is already on this team. I don't love that thought...In fact it keeps me coming back to this message board in hopes of some news of a better option.
However, if they don't believe anyone on the team should be good enough to start then why waste time bringing in 3rd tier backs like Tate and Felix. Its not like we really need to churn the bottom of the running back roster.

I believe that if you don't think your starting back is on the team then you save the 3rd tier guys time and you go out and get the back you want starting. I don't know where that is. Miami, Minny, who knows....

Bringing in Ben Tate tells me they fully intent to go RBBC and they are looking for the short yardage back.

I feel your sentiments. There are better prospects out there than Ben Tate and Felix. For God sake why Felix?

I'm still concerned that they think anyone can run behind this oline. Frankly I don't buy it. I would rather have a very good back rather than a bunch of mediocre backs. If they want to replace Murray then they should find the best back available. This should include AP.

I'm not a fan of the RBBC approach either. It smells of being a copycat approach to teams like the Patriots. We are more like Seattle than the Patriots.

All I'm hoping now is that Williams remain healthy. That is the only back I see worthy of being a starter.

Actually it was just you telling me why you wouldnt answer..so no you actually didnt give an answer.

Try to tell me why they are bringing in these scrubs if they were so fine with what they have?

Do you still pickup women after youre married? If so, you aint happy with the wife or marriage.

That might be the worst analogy ever.

It's amazing how the purpose of this news just went right over the head of ya'll. Don't you know this is the Cowboys way of making sure that the CowboysZone gets plenty of traffic in the middle of May?

and i predict doom and gloom posts for every one unless it's AP.

then i predict doom and gloom from another crowd.

I'll see your "doom and gloom after every post" and raise you to "doom and gloom two weeks after we win the superbowl in 2016"!
If we are fortunate enough to do so. Hopeflly I can direct everyone back to this post next March and say "HAHAHAHA!!" And to do so with our current stable of backs would be sweet! Lol!

How exactly do the Vikings "blink"?

Like any other group of people. Haven't you watched the History Channel or better yet "The Saga of the Viking Women and Their Voyage to the Waters of the Great Sea Serpent?"

This is going to get so good before it's all written for the start of the season. I'm hyperventilating.

Ill go ahead and answer for you

Not content with the current RB situation+ Jerry saying he would upgrade a position using a first rounder(reluctantly) = Potential AP arrival

Thats just simple math and facts.

Your turn

Go be stupid w/o me. Bye bye.

So we are signing Felix Jones and trading him for AD

Or Minnesota is sweating that we wont be interested in AD anymore once we sign Jones?

I was on board with mcFadden and Randle being the guys. I bought into what the front office was selling.

But the fact we keep getting linked to wash ups like Tate and others is making me waver in my beliefs. If the front office is so sold on our running situation, why are they investigating more bums?

Its like I have been saying from day 1, if the front office is so sold on McFadden/Randle/Williams combo (making peanuts) they would never had made an offer of $6 million a season to Murray to begin with.
