We need a RB and probably more so than we even know. Kinda think we should have taken the best available RB in the 3rd. We can't go into the season with what we currently have, that's for sure........

Run DMC, Dummy, Williams, and Dunbar... What rookie In the 4-7 round is better than those guys?

My belief all along was we would not draft a RB. It's good to see the brass agrees with my opinion that RB is not a great need. We'll be fine with what we got... I'm sorry so many of you don't see it now but you will.

There were certainly players available when the day started that had more upside than the above mentioned. It's hard to say that any of them would be "better", since none of the people drafted today have played a snap in the NFL.

I'm sure you were probably fine with the OL going into the 2010 season also. How'd that work out for us?

I've been screaming long before that about investing early picks into the offensive line, same goes for the defensive line when Jerry was stating is was a strength two years ago....games are won in the trenches

Cowboy brass must be smoking some of Gregorys stuff if they think this sorry bunch of RB's that are currently on the roster are going to cut it. I just don't understand the mentality of anyone who thinks Mcfeeble is going to be any kind of asset to this team.

I agree....this is just stupid. The RB got us there and we don't replace him with a competent back? Dumb

Yeah hopefully Cowboys can acquire an RB somewhere along the line before the season starts. I wanted to vomit when I heard they signed DMC but thought well maybe as a change of pace guy depending on who they acquire through the draft or trade. Now I'm thinking change of pace from what?!? Dunbar, Williams, or Dummy? What a joke

Just like they were content with the OL following the Minnesota playoff loss? How did that work out for us the following season?

I was perfectly fine with letting DeMarco walk because I had figured that they'd address his replacement in the draft with it being so deep. Heck, there was even a DeMarco clone with an actual speed burst that was available that we passed on. I think this is going to be a huge mistake of ours and could very well haunt like not addressing the OL haunted us, and Romo, following that playoff loss.

I'm with you here. I think it was a mistake for us to pass up on a running back that can replace Murray. If what we have now is not going to get the job done even at half of what Murray was able to do, the media will be all over this and will look at us like fools for not taking a runningback.

Totally not sold on McFadden at all. If we end up having to pass to win once again its gonna be a long season.

I think DMC is going to surprise people. The Raiders are a mess and their line stank. Barry Sanders or Emmitt Smith would have had a terrible time running behind that group.

Also, those folks freaking out here are really putting too much value on some of these later round guys. Those backs are a total crap shoot. Yes, everyone can point to great later round RBs and there usually are 1 or 2 each year. But there are a ton more guys who are over valued.

Aside from Gurley, there is no back in this draft that can "replace" Murray.

How do you know? There is no way to tell unless you TRY and replace Murray. Heck the Cowboys didn't even TRY. Thats the problem.

McFadden is not a replacement. I don't think he is a viable choice to be our number 1 back.

The only way he surprises me is if he stays healthy and plays for more than 6 games. I'm mean cmon, u know your scraping the bottom of the scum heap when your signing players that even the Raiders no longer wanted.

There were some that were close such as Coleman who was a Murray clone with breakaway speed. Granted he may not have been able to reproduce his production from last year but at least would have been someone who could have fit in nicely.

He was a free agent.

Do you think that maybe he didn't want to come back to that team with their awful OL?
