If you say running QB i think wishbone, 2 to 8 passes a game off of 90% running...there are no running QB's in the league, hell Lamar Jackson throws for more yards than he runs which makes calling him a running QB wierd. There are mobile QB's and as time passes they will rely more on "Pocket movement" and throwing because father time is undefeated.

Those guys weren't called running QBs. They were called "change positions or don't play in the NFL" players. OU and Nebraska produced many of them. Scott Frost and Eric Crouch immediately pop in my head as examples.

It really doesn't matter what labels are used. Long term success in the NFL comes from the passing abilities over running abilities. It is obvious Lamar Jackson has to continue to improve his passing in order to be a better QB. I think he can still develop and is still relatively young. He has had one season with over 3000 yards passing. That is average in today's NFL when league leaders are up around 5000 yards for the season. So far this season he has produced 3006 yards combined rushing and receiving. He is an above average QB. Continued improvement in the passing aspect will elevate him.

The most success for any QB will come when the ability to run provides a bonus to their ability to pass. When the passing is predicated primarily off of the running ability, that is limiting.
