Jaimie dukes told bad radio that Roy williams was a panic move and that he has a rep around the league as being one of the laziest guys who has no interest in practicing.

I have no idea if that is true, dukes has some serious agendas and I pay no attention to him, but if that is true how funny does it make him look for calling out the whole team, which is what roy is doing. He is calling out all of his coaches and all of his teammates when he says they dont work hard in practice.

I don't listen to Dukes, all he does is ramble.

Williams wasn't a panic move, imo. The Cowboys, Eagles, and Commanders were all going after:

Larry Fitzgerald
Roy Williams
Antwan Boldin
Chad Johnson

before the season started.

I just listened to the Galloway interview. In my opinion, Williams should be fined, and if a gag order for ripping coaches (especially Jason Garrett) in the media isn't installed, something is wrong.

I was listening to Mike and Mike this morning in the car. They had RW11 on with them at the SuperBowl. They started talking about Detroit. RW11 just blurps out...."It was a rough year for them, Detroit is better than 0-16, they practice alot harder than Dallas"..............

This comment really turned my stomach. I hate our coaches. Excuse me know while I go puke.

Not that I don't believe RW11 on his Cowboys practice statement but isn't that ironic when Detroit's ex HC Rod Marinelli basically said no one wanted to do the fundamental dirty work on that team from other coaches to players?

Goes to show how lackadaisical this team is throughout practice and the week which obviously translates onto the field during game day. I'll say it again, I'm scared about this upcoming season.

That’s why i laugh at those who blame injuries or luck for what happened this past season. They will never get it or understand real football. Any monkey can see this team was lazy and not disciplined to do their job properly. And if they think Jerry Jones has nothing to do with this, well i feel sorry for their lonely brain cells.

Lack of leadership, structure, motivation and focus. Talented bad character players that require a very in your face hands on coach who is a big dictator. There are a lot of those throughout the league and a lot of these types of players do have productive careers as long as they have the right coach and core of locker room leadership to keep them flying straight. These inmates are running the asylum right now.

Not that you don't have a point about the coaches getting torn up but the gag order won't happen. Jerry won't do it and we know that and I truly think it won't solve a thing anyways. The reason is that Jerry would be managing these players again if that would happen. The coaching staff needs to show these players and the organization who runs this locker room and how things are going to be approached. The coaches need to demand control and put both fear and respect into these players heads. Not gonna happen though. We all know why.

I think some of you zoners are missing one big detail.

Remember in late november and december after 12-1, the cowboys went on a slide of losing. What were the reports coming out of Dallas practice fields.

Remember, good ole wade didnt have the players practicing in pads at all. Zippo Nada. And in december last year, remember good ole wade, let some players have the day off, etc.

Granted some were hurt, but not all of the ones he let off were hurt. And remember what good ole wade said, when the media asked him about this, I am saving their legs.

Thats part of the problem, just like this person posted;
I hate to hear this but that's why I want Wade gone. Our 13-3 year under wade two seasons ago was similar to the Super Bowl we won with Switzer, we had so much talent even Barry couldn't screw it up. Two years ago we had a lot of talent but not enough to overcome bad coaching from Wade. And this year it bit us in the butt.

You can't practice light and play hard. You can't ignore the walk throughs and expect to execute properly. You can't baby men, and expect them not to play that way.

This is why I said all along that I gave Garrett a pass on this year because of they way we practiced. You can only do so much with what you are allowed to have.

How do we know, what good ole wade would let garrett have the offense practice. If you remember in the last game, on one particular play, the cowboys ran on 4th down instead of punting, good ole wade looked confused and lost on the sidelines.

Finally reports came out that Garrett had the cowboys to go for it, while wade was looking for the cowboys to punt. Well, the cowboys made the first down, and proceded down the field, eventually the cowboys fumbled best i remember.

But my point is, do we really know, what good ole wade would let garrett run on offense, and what he could and couldnt do?

As far as practice, we remember the media saying after the loss to the Commanders cowboys game in dallas something is wrong. What did good ole wade say? Everything is ok, it will work out, dont worry. Get off of my back. etc.

well the media tried to tell him, you cant baby these players, even though they want to be treated like professionals, you cant treat them that way till they earn it, and even then like jimmy johnson said one time, you still have to step on their neck.

It stands to reason, no person really wants to work hard, study hard, if you are going to let them have days off, etc and not allow hitting, etc. But thats not how championships are won.

And it doesnt stop at good ole wade either, jerry jones is to blame to for allowing that atmosphere of no hitting, hard work, focus on football too, as well as the players.[/quote]

And this is what is so textbook hypocritical when it comes to criticizing Jerry Jones. If he got involved in how the players are coached or practice and we still fall short of the mark, you and others would be howling what a control freak Jerry is, what a puppett Wade was because he (Jerry) practiced or drilled this team to death resulting in another late season collapse.

This season failure can be attributed to a good number of key player injuries throughout the year, inexperienced coaching and distractions and opponents. Correct me if I am wrong but very competive opposing teams are a key factor in losing. Jones should be held proportionately accountable for not securing the right head coach and banking too much on a bright but inexperienced OC in Garrett. Wade's inexperience and his inability to optimally manage his coaching staff as well as the players contributed to this collapse.

My Ignorant Shortcoming Assessment:
Coaching 40%
Key Injuries 25%
Opposing Teams (Schedule) 25%
GM, Distractions 15%

I am a huge Jerry Jones supporter and believe he gets unfairly maligned and negatively stereotyped. I am convinced changes will come, and this will be more evident after the Superbowl. But if Jerry can't rein things in this upcoming season he needs to step down and get a GM in here that will intelligently galvanize the entire team and make hard core changes as necessary.

That stated at some point we fans have to stop repeatedly whining about this past season and start focusing on off-season changes for the better.

You can save all the rhetoric, if what RW says is true,(which I'm sure it is) it's no wonder The Cowboys are the laughing stock of the NFL.

I know the Lions didn't win a game last year, but to say that a o-16 team practices harder than You do, has to prove that The Cowboys just thought they would just have to show up on game day and they would win because "WE ARE AMERICA'S TEAM"!!!!!!!!!

We may not win, but the Boys sure like playing for Wade. They don't have to shower or use much deodorant after practice.;)

And the most depressing part, Next year will be the same old thing I'm afraid.

I'm glad that he said it.

And I'm glad that Owens and Romo criticized the offense.

It's stuff that needs to be said for anything to change.

Going the politically correct route would simply get us more of the same.

If getting called-out in public is what it takes for this coaching staff to do a better job, so be it.

Thats the only way to get Jerry's attention.

He only cares about the perception of our team rather than the reality of it.

You practice how you play. If this team has soft practices, that is the root of the problem. It's that simple.

I'm really shocked anybody is surprised by this comment. I think it showed in how disorganized we were against good competition that we weren't practicing hard. Wade has this year to get it figured out, or he's gone and I wouldn't have one problem with it.
