 @ the perception that "on the field team improvement is a direct correlation for initiating appropriate reactionary response to negative player comments offered through the media". ESPN, NFL Network and their brethern in the broadcasting sports community should be commended for promoting fundamental change within the Dallas Cowboys. Makes one wonder why they're ever criticized if they are providing an essential service for the franchise?

More indictments on Camp Cupcake from someone who neither participated in Camp nor showed much of a work ethic running his own routes

I may be wrong but didn't Troy Aikman say something about the way Switzwer was conducting not only camp but the way he had a lackadaisical approach to the game?

Probably not the best example since Aikman was a known, and admited, perfectionist so I would have been shocked if Aikman DIDN'T say something back then.

Today I don't know, or believe, that we've necassarily got even one player on this team who is that type of perfectionist to where they'd complain like Troy did.

I'd honestly be shocked if anyone on this team ever stood up and said, "Wade's way is too light. He doesn't push this team hard enough and he's lackadaisical."

That would shock me if any of the players on this team were to come out and say that.

Amazing... Roy Williams plays offense and Wade Phillips never really interfered with Garrett... So doesn't that implicate Garrett?

Is this the same Roy Williams that when he got here said our practices were night and day better than Detroit's? I remember him saying our club had just a whole different mentality at practice. I wonder why he would change his stance 180 degree's now?

True or not. RW11 seems to say alot of things like this.

He is a mild version of TO. He has more than once said things he should have kept in house.

Closet Diva.

I was thinking the same thing. He really has not had a chance to show much and when he did have the chance he didn't show much.

Imagine his divaness once he becomes more involved.
He'll make Crayfish and Ellis and T.O. look like pikers.

Once again to players: Shut up and play!

Found this.

From a chat Archer did...

http://www.bloggingtheboys.com/2008/8/11/591374/todd-archer-live-chat

Tampaorbust: Have you seen any significant changes (for better or worse) in the Cowboys’ second training camp under Wade Phillips?

Todd Archer: It’s the same camp, and hopefully now I can use this time to dispel some myths on how “hard” this camp isn’t. They worry about the Cowboys not being in pads, not tackling. I’ve covered three teams – the Bengals, Dolphins and Cowboys. The only difference I see in Phillips’ camp from Parcells and Dave Wannstedt was their work in goal-line situations. The other two would allow tackling. Phillips doesn’t.
That's a good example. Another example is this one from the 2007 camp.

bigles08: Is Wade Phillip's "hands off" coaching style the same as Tony Dungy's?

Todd Archer: I wouldn't say Tony Dungy is a "hands off" coach. He might come across that way, but he is demanding in a different way. He might not tear into players, but he will let them know he isn't pleased. As for Phillips, he said the one thing he learned from his time in Denver was not overworking the players. In Buffalo, he learned how to back off by watching Marv Levy. With this team having a mix of veterans and young players, I believe Phillips will be stern but fair. His off-season was more demanding than Parcells. And look at the camp schedule: The Cowboys are having 15 straight days of practice (at least according to the schedule we've received). Parcells had eight straight before giving them a day off.

Generally, I think it goes back to working harder and smarter. The players haven't demonstrated that very well.

I thought he had said that in regards to players "expecting" to win.

I remember him saying his first week here how much more crisp our practices were. People were practicing at near game speed and after a run or pass would run it in to the endzone. He also said balls didn't hit the ground here as opposed to Detoit.

Except Garrett doesn't make the practice schedules. Wade is in control of when, how long and how hard to practice.

Fix this nonsense IN HOUSE.

unless your last name is owens. Then it's because he wants to win.
Just for the record, I have a huge problem with all these idiots running their lips.

He's most likely in Tampa for T.O.'s Super Bowl Party.

So he's doing the radio circuit today.

And he is trying to be more like the rest of the Dallas Cowboys, lol.
