Irvin's 4.6 20 years ago is a lot different than Crabtree's 4.55 in 2009. Furthermore, Irvin's measurables are the reason he got drafted AFTER Sterling Sharpe and Tim Brown.
I don't see why you guys are getting so pissy over my suggestion that Crabtree won't go in top 10. ********.
Its not offense it is just that you are painfully errant and speaking like you know what you are talking about. You don't. You are not even close.
Crabtree was advised by the NFL advisory committee he would go top 10.
He also spent last season all summer improving his foot speed AFTER winning the Biletnikoff. He will do so again this summer leading up to the combine, pro days and then the draft.
Crabtree may never catch an NFL pass and he may be a complete bust of a pick but he does not run a 4.55 40 and he hasn't since his freshman year at Tech.
Crabtree was a QB in high school so is not a really polished route runner. His appeal is his size, speed and leaping ability. He is one of the best guys in the NCAA for runs after the catch. His numbers were not inflated they were muted. He had injuries all year. He was down by a ways in catches and yards because he sat out a ton of plays. But he scored a lot of TDs because he could get slants, jump balls and inside screens into the end zone easily.
