Yes, it was obvious. Obvious to me and obvious to them. Too slight and more of a deep threat. Perfect opposite a #1, but not good enough to be a true #1.

If it wasnt obvious then why did they trade for Brown? They knew. They werent winning with Smith as their #1.
Lamb only had 900+ yards his rookie year too…I guess it was obvious at that point he wasn’t a #1 too.

They traded for Brown bc they understand the importance of having 2 high end WRs.

It was obvious to me. Not to many of you. LOL

Lamb was on pace for nearly 1400 yards receiving before Dak went down his rookie season. Were you aware of that? Did you even remember Dak got hurt?

I was defending Lamb hard while many were saying he wasn't a true #1. We know who turned out to be right? The same guy that is usually right about these things.

The smallest that I remember in the first round is Mike Sherrard in the 1986 draft. He was 6-1, 185. That’s the closest to a small 1st round receiver that I can come up with. He wasn’t short, he was just light.
I still have a vivid memory of his injury. Broken leg from just running.

So you liked Lamb as a #1 for having 900+ yards as a rookie but not Smith. Got it.

Yes absolutely. Talent was obvious and everything about him.

Smith not so much.

And If you look at both results I was spot on with both.

Lamb became the #1 I thought he was and Eagles went out and got AJ Brown a true #1 that they were lacking.

Not sure why your upset or even arguing the point. The results and actions speak for themselves.

Are you telling me AJ Brown and Smith are on the same level?

Eagles are a run first football team with a running QB. They had Smith at WR and Goedert one of the best pass catching TE's. They got AJ Brown because they needed a true #1 and kept striking out taking them in the first round.

Have you ever thought of running an NFL team?

There would be nobody better.

Whats the point of you arguing just to argue?

At the time of Smith being a rookie he was essentially the #1 receiving weapon. Lambs rookie year he was the #3 slot WR on the team behind Cooper and Gallup. And he did it with Dalton most of the season making it all the more impressive.

I have watched Smith a lot. Eagles came to the right decision and they nailed it getting AJ Brown. I like Smith, but hes a guy that is better suited beating single coverage getting deep with someone like Brown to take the pressure off. Not a true #1. Great #2 and will get better.

And with your abundance of wisdom you realize great #2s would be a number 1 on over half the rosters in football?

No need to change the subject. I have more than made my point with plenty of backup and evidence. You on the other hand have done little over than put up 900 yard rookie year as some kind of evidence.

Yea, after being 9th in the NFL in receiving yards as an ascending young player I concede there is no way he could be a #1 in the NFL.

Is that all you got?

You lost this one. Lost it bad. All the evidence you need is that they went out and traded for a true #1.

Game, Set, Match!!!!

Accept it and move on.
