Over fifteen million dollars per year for two pass rushers and zero sacks today.
It's becoming foolish to defend Ware from those of us who say he rarely makes plays late in games when it really counts....even going against second stringers. Ironically he's just like romo.

Maybe putting the guy with shoulder issues into a 4-3 where he is going to take contact every single play wasnt a good move.

Definitely losing faith in Ware.

He hasn't gone up against all-stars here. These are guys he should beat.

No doubt he's banged up.

But he always is, lately. And that is usually precursor to decline. See: Ratliff, Jay

the injuries have just caught up with Ware...he can still be a viable secondary rusher but we need to start looking for the future this draft.

Ware is becoming a liablity. He is constantly out of position leaving a gaping hole where he is supposed to be. He is not the player he once was and i don't think he will ever come close again.

I know it's nitpicking, but on the bootleg by manning, what is ware doing? THere is no way you are going to tackle a running back running straight behind the right guard on the goal line.

This was not the only play he made that puzzled me either. He has 0 effect on games now. Selvie makes more of an impact than ware

It pains me that Manning was barely touched all game. The few times we got in his face, he looked flustered. He got rid of the ball quickly, but I still wish somebody could've gotten to him just once.

Ware playing against a backup scrub LT most of the game too.

It isn't fair to Ware that the rest of his passing rushing crew don't show up. He is banged up because he has been our only good pass rusher for many years. Give the man some help! He goes out with his sword and shield.

Ratliff and Spencer are MIA.

We need to tie money into some pass rushers, and draft a few next year.
Use the money we have from Miles, Ratliff, and Spencer to find some decent pass rushers.

If we would of had a pass rush today in the least extent, we had this victory. Oh well.

if fans are going to rag on Romo, they should no mercy in ragging on Ware. He has played against backup tackles all year and has looked like a bum. Sure he gets his sack or two, but none of them are game changers.

Is seymour still available? If so, why not take a look. Ware is in/out the whole game for whatever reason. Why not bring in some help? we are so thin on the dline right now.

Ware had a sack on Manning at the end of the game.

Its hard to get a sack when Manning was getting the ball out in under 2 seconds on a consistent basis.

exactly - they showed this during the game. 1.5 to 1.6 seconds on several plays. The guy is playing out of his mind.

I think we all knew that the only way to win was to outscore them and have the ball last. The game was set up perfect to win in the last minute -Unfortunately......

ware is getting old just like the rest of the dline. i dont blame them. i blame our stupid owner who thinks the dline is "a position of strength" so he runs his star players into the ground without a thought about drafting replacements until its too late. u never get forward thinking from this clown jones family.

Agree. And here is my argument about Ware. At the end of every year it seems like people defend him...saying.."look at his sack numbers..." But his sacks often are in bunches. 2 this game, 3 that game, 2 the next game. Then, he will go many games where he is invisible. And dont give me double teams. Guys like Reggie White and Joe Greene were doubled every single game. How'd they do?

I don't really want to make excuses here but I think it is fair to say that there were many, many instances of obvious holding calls that were just not called. Also, because of the scheme, Manning was able to get rid of the ball in most instances in less then 2 seconds. The RBs were there all day for him. It's simply unrealistic to expect us to sack Manning much. However, because he did check down so often, that does suggest that we were getting pressure and forcing the check downs. If I have a beef with the defense, it's more that we, again, didn't do a stellar job of tackling and stopping Denver from putting up YAC. That really hurt us all day and that's really more scheme then anything IMO.

This is what I was talking about when I said I wouldn't be shocked if this was Ware's last season. It has nothing to do with skill. I just think the nagging injuries have caught up to him.

We need 2 starting DEs next year. ware with his constant neck/shoulder problems may be best suited as a nickel package player going forward. That way you keep him fresher and allow him to do what he does best.
