SAN ANTONIO – Shortly after the NFL announced Thursday the Dallas Cowboys would play a regular-season game in London in 2014, coach Jason Garrett gave reporters in Irving an impromptu lesson in British vernacular.
Asked about the field at Wembley Stadium, where the Cowboys will face Jacksonville on a date to be determined, Garrett said, “It’s a pitch, if you remember. It’s a pitch, they call it.
“So, yeah, it’s great. It’s Wembley Stadium, for crying out loud. It’s one of the great stadiums in the world.”
Garrett was with the Cowboys as a backup quarterback when they played a preseason game in London in 1993.
