SAN ANTONIO – DeMarcus Ware had nothing but good things to say about Jerry Jones and the Cowboys during a news conference Wednesday to announce his three-year deal with the Broncos.
“To Mr. Jones for gracefully letting me go out in the market and let me choose where I can finish my career at, I want to thank him for that,” Ware said, per ESPNDallas.com. “And I want to wish my former teammates, coaches and just the Cowboys good luck in their season.”
The Cowboys cut Ware on Tuesday after he refused to take a pay cut. The Broncos agreed to pay him a guaranteed $20 million. He will make $13 million this year, slightly more than he was set to receive from the Cowboys.
