Signed by Cowboys Safety George Iloka signed

I told you guys. He went to Boise State. He was an automatic pencil in on the roster.

- Good size
- Plays faster than his combine time
- Is smart and can be expected to pick up the play book quickly.
- Played most of his career as a deep safety and better in zone
- IMO looked his best in 2016 playing SS

So they will play him closer to the line and in m2m.

I think it's a good signing. Doesn't break bank, and the team can still draft safety early. If you don't want Dallas to blatantly reach for needs in the draft, this is a good move.

I also think this is good for those who want Dallas to trade for Quinn, which includes myself. I think it is less likely that Dallas would trade for Quinn if they signed Berry. Berry would almost certainly cost more money than IIoka.

Wow! Dallas signs back up depth for the SS position and suddenly he is better than what we have. I hope people realize George Iloka would get smoked by Heath in the 40. Come on man this is just a depth signing.
4.66 vs 4.48

That's an indictment of the 40-time if anything.

He's better than Sensabaugh.

Since Darren Woodson has left, it goes...

1. Roy Williams (pre-Kelly Rowland)
2. Kenny Hamlin
3. George Iloka
4. Barry Church
5. Gerald Sensabaugh
6. Abram Ebram
7. Alan Ball
8. Danny McCray
9. Andrew Sendejo
...
57. Jeff Heath

Nice!

After Woodson you might as well group all those guys together because splitting straws. Roy Williams was a horse collar specialist and once they changed the rule he was done.

Boooooooooom!!!!!!!! Yes sir!! Good signing. Not on the level of Earl or Berry, but an upgrade over Heath for sure and quality depth at the very least. Now let’s get DE Quinn.

See I don't agree that Earl or Berry would have been better. Both had injuries that would make you pause...both will most likely not complete long term contracts (not even sure Berry will get a long term agreement). I hope they will draft a FS in the draft or find a way to acquire one in 2020. As Rome wasn't built in a day...but I do like this signing if for nothing else we have some experience back there that may be able to push others on the roster to do better or get pushed off the roster.

we are renting JAG for a year. Nothing more. Break out the duct tape.
