Who cares if Hall promotes himself?

You don't think that goes on in every day life? You don't promote yourself to your boss? Or others?

Its human nature to do so.

He may take it further than most, but who cares? The media likes it. They can report on him if need be. Media attention isn't a right. Its a priveledge. Hall has figured out how to maximize his coverage.

Good for him.

Why not get to the real issue that is at stake. Which is, in media outlets constantly talking about Hall, some here feel Newman is overlooked.

In reality, he isn't. Coaches know. Who cares if the media does? Obviously Newman doesn't, or he'd promote himself more.

Good for Hall for maximizing his coverage.

I think the Falcons just thought they'd waltz in and crash this party with no problem. They're used to beating up on this terrible team, and they figured this year was no different.

But the Falcons have been very inconsistent the last few years anyway. They've beat good teams and then laid a big egg several times under Mora.

Exactly. Deion was promoting himself before he ever set foot on the field in an NFL game. This schtick of Hall's is nothing new.

They said Colston was the third to last pick in the draft. Nice pick.

I'm curious if anyone here chose New Orleans to win in our Pick'em contest tonight?

Agreed. He actually looked decent in the preseason. He is the Saints version of our Sam Hurd.

Falcons showing Bush that it aint quite as easy to score in NFL as it is in college. so much hype has come with Bush that i think teams play extra hard when they face Bush so he doesnt go off on them and they get credit for stopping the "all mighty" Bush

Not me...:banghead:

So far I had only got 1 wrong this and just KNEW I'd get this last one. Sucks ATL decided to lay an egg and/or Saints play inspired ball.

Classic Sean Payton on that last Saints drive. From the 2-3 yd line.. run, stufffed. run, stuffed. run, stuffed. Field Goal.

Good to see things haven't changed.

Nobody throws the ball in the dirt as well as Michael Vick.

I couldn't disagree more. Self promotion is "human nature"? It doesn't seem to be for Marvin Harrison, Tom Brady, Roy Williams, Warrick Dunn, or plenty of others. It wasn't for Troy or Roger or plenty of other Hall of Fame players from our franchise alone.

Sorry, I'll take the guy who lets his play do the talking over the one who constantly beats his chest in front of a camera any day. And I bet I'm not the only one who thinks so.

It's part of the new Vick option offense. All passes must hit the receiver in the feet. Decreases interceptions.

That was a good decision on your part. NO was definitely the sentimental choice to win tonight. I made the mistake of discounting the sentimental favorite because I thought their team was mostly "smoke and mirrors".

I guess it just goes to show you how wrong it can be to go against a team that the majority of Americans want to win.

What does it matter that the majority of Americans want them to win? Are you subtlely saying it's fixed??

Gotta admit all the hurricane/feel good talk would be dampered a little bit if the Saints were losing.

Watch NO go into a prevent defense and let Atlanta right back into this game. It never fails.........to piss me off.
