Saints are 3 point favorites this Sunday do you agree?

Our offense is as good as theirs right now. Maybe better due to run game and OL edge.

Yeah we'll have problems stopping them but Linehan is gonna go Buffalo Bill on fatty Ryan.

Win or lose this will be close. Prepare for another nailbiter.

Our offense is better than theirs....our run game is better.

Defensively, they are ranked lower than us in just about every category...they only have one takeaway this year. I personally think our D has a better chance of stopping them than theirs does of stopping our offense.

Cleveland's defense is 31st in total yardage and tied for 24th in pts per game given up. They aren't good. Atlanta's defense is 20th in points and 27th in yards given up. Neither are GOOD defenses.

Ok fair enough, they're both better than ours though

GM was not calling for more blitzes. Maybe he commented on it. But guess people can't get it out of their heads, that...JERRY DOES NOT CALL THE PLAYS....

Also, no matter who was rushing the QB in that game last year, weren't nearly as good as the players now. Can you name anyone on that DL, even the entire defense other than a few players.
The street guys' street guys were rushing last year.
Really?

And who are these pass rushing titans on this team now? IIRC, the d-line has 1 sack in 3 games so far. They barely touched the Rams scrub QB last week.

And please don't tell me Spencer is going to come from off the rehab table to dominate this Sunday.

Based on what?

Our defense is better in yards allowed and points allowed. Those are the two biggest defensive stats there are. Dallas is 21st in yds and 18th in points.

Saints D is horrible. Rob Ryan is horrible. Let's not assume the Saints are some unbeatable juggernaut and we are lucky just to share the field with them.

I predict a back & forth game, probably comes down to 4 Quarter and 2-3 key plays.

This matchup sounded much scarier on paper before the season started. Let's hope this isn't the game the Saints get their game back on track. With our ability to score on their defense we might be able to keep it close. Not sure we can win this but a late score or 2 could get us within those 3 points. But if I'm a betting man I'd give the points because I thought the line would be close to 4 1-2 or 5.

Should be 11 or 12 points

At 1-2 they are desperate early in season. It will show.
We just show and see what happens. Unprepared, no urgency.

I don't think there will be much "stopping" done in this game by either team.

Of course I know Jerry doesn't call plays, but he wields influence, and here's his quote after the Chicago game last year, "We just need to take more risks,” Jones said. “In a more conservative approach like [Monday], the results are going to be the same, so we might as well try to somehow get more turnovers.”

Risks=Blitzes in his mind. He's an idiot. He should stay out of football matters and worry about other things.

Anyway, I hope I'm wrong, but Brees scares me 10x more than Austin Davis, and Davis put up 372 yards, and 3 TDs (could have been 4 if Cook doesn't drop an easy one). Saints QB, RBs, WRs and TES are all better than STL's by a wide margin, and the Saints are 2nd in the league in 3rd down conversions - STL converted over 50%! Like I said, I expect a 45-30 type game, but I hope I'm way off.

why saint have given up more points than Dallas and points scored Dallas 1 point less. Fully expect Saints to be favored but 12 points why because of the game last year?

I did not say they are "titans"

I said we have better players than in that game last year. They are still learning this system as well as each other. But overall as a group they are better. Saints may not know who they can key on first to stop any pass rush, although been ok, but not great, just not the amount of sacks we all hoped for.
Yes they watched film, will game plan for they think may be the biggest threat. But last year they knew who was, an injured Ware. This year, is different, healthier players, and Marinelli just may have his own plans.

Do I expect this defense to dominate the game, no not even close, but maybe they can be better than the rag tag group from last year. Maybe they have another horrible outing, maybe not. But I think it will be a totally different game that last years. For the better. Not saying we win, but can't see a blow out, though crap does happen at times.

Yes, I meant the Saints should be favored by more than 3. It was in response to the OP's title.

I would feel better if McClain was starting. I don't like the fact of having no one capable of rushing Brees. I just hope Dallas is able to take advantage of their center being out.

I have no confidence in this D-line. None whatsoever.
