No. One part of his post made a lot of sense. Just because you're good at business, doesn't make you an expert at everything. Their talent through experience is making money and building a business. Every offseason they show you this through their actions.
Ever since Jerry bought the team until about 2012, they tried to field a championship team. With very limited success after Jimmy left. In fact, they were bad at it. Besides Deion and T.O., the few bright spots, everything else he did was crap. It hurt the team more than helped. Which is probably why they stopped doing it and went to this new system. This new system limits your ability to make bad decisions. But at the same time, it holds you back from getting better results. But what do they care? As long as their investment is worth a fortune. They're now doing what they're good at doing.
Basically, I'm just saying that for once they didn't run out and overpay their players and for once they draw a line in the sand and saying look we want to see more results when it counts big time in the playoffs...
that doesn't mean they're not going to pay one or all three of these guys, it could happen right before this season, it could happen whenever... they're just deciding to make some of these players and coaches prove it and there's nothing wrong with that other teams do it all the time... so once Jerry Jones finally says I'm going to wait and see I want to see what you all are going to bring this year before I make my decision, it doesn't mean he's not going to make the decision anyway like he did with zeke and he waited after the franchise tag with Prescott...
it doesn't matter people are making a big deal about this and it's not truly about the salary cap if he wanted to make it work it actually would make more sense for the salary cap if he signed Prescott could have freed up more money, but he did not he chose to wait, and I don't blame him for being that frustrated right now...
In my opinion, there's nothing wrong with what he's doing, I don't see why people are whining and crying ,we are not in salary cap hell,
we are in a holding pattern is what I would call it,
Jerry put it in neutral, he made it clear to the team that even the best players and the head coach are probably going to have to prove it before he decides whether he wants to give them market money which is got really ridiculous and I don't blame a man for taking a little extra time within the rules.. I mean they make the franchise tag, the transition tag, the 5th year options ,there so you can stagger contracts and you can take a little bit more time to evaluate what to pay these players, how long, bonus money ,or an option to trade them and this time..Jerry is taking a little more time and everyone's losing their mind.
I mean even the fact that they let Tyron Smith go and people are angry those same angry people were saying Jerry's holding on to his beloved players for too long long past their prime and they thought we should cut Tyra Smith four years ago you know I'm here I read Facebook social media ice all the fan reaction everybody wanted Tyrone gone now that he's gone they want to cry because no matter what Jerry does people will have the opposite reaction of what they really should have.....
So again, I trust that a group that runs the Dallas Cowboys not Jerry everyone up there including our real GM and McClay are making decisions better best for this franchise right at this moment and I will take their judgment like I said they run like 4 multi million to billion dollar businesses and I believe they have a process of a group of decision makers better advising him to do it this way and I rather trust them than a bunch of fans on a social media site claiming they think they know more and also think they know the operations of their minds...
Ohh and lastly everyone keeps saying they're just business people you know if I spent 33 years on a job and have had success and we've had some ups and downs but all the people that have crossed their paths that have been here like Jimmy Johnson bill Parcells and don't act like some of these other coaches haven't had success that they recently brought in and that they haven't absorbed any of that from anyone and you're telling me that the whole entire management and organization knows nothing about football you're saying we have no football guys on this team that can advise and help the Jones family I mean it's ridiculous every time I hear that they've been in football people for 33 years now they may have made a ton of mistakes the first five years after Jimmy left yes we all saw it but the last 10 years and especially the last five I feel like they've made a lot of changes and just because they're not out there doing the all in high risk gambling free agent thing and they make some decisions that fans don't like you act like they are just business people and not football people they literally are football people I mean Jerry only brought in Jimmy because they played what on a national championship team in college he played football he brought in a football mine he's been around a lot of football people you have to absorb some of it you've literally been around it 33 years I'd say you're a very experienced football person now.... I'm not saying they do things perfectly I'm saying it's nonsense it's another busted narrative to act like the Jones family are not football people and they need a real football person in here to fix everything... You don't become a top six team in the league and do what they've done the last three to six years by not knowing what you're doing they're beating out all these football people in these GM's when you're top six it means somebody's not beating you they apparently have better football people and that includes the Eagles we beat them twice for the division and I get we want more but don't act like the Jones family don't know anything about the business of football and that they just know about making money... No one can spend 33 years on a job and not pick up something from real football people...
