My point is that guys like you that know nothing about contracts always pop off about the 'salary cap' from an uneducated perspective and I was just shining some light on the subject

With 3 pen-strokes DAL is 27 under the cap without even touching Romo........so all this kvetching about having no money to sign anyone is a such a joke

41m under the cap and not one person to spend it on to improve the D

You guys are the definition of Stockholm Syndrome....... love your captors because the alternative is so unthinkable
We know the money is sitting there if needed, but it's not really needed right now, is it? Who is available that is worth signing?

What restructure guys?

We don't need the space now. FA is come and gone.

Unless is was Buoye or Ingram I'm not sure I'd consider any of those guys money well spent.

They don't have to be bargains ....they only have to be better than what we have

Who cares if they are overpaid......80% of our team is home grown....1/2 on their rookie deals

Those rookie deals will come up and if we are doing this right, will cost a pretty penny to become second deals. No need to tie up money on marginal upgrades when real improvement comes through the draft anyway.

Dallas is still 10m under after signing 4 UFAs and re-signing 5 FAs

They are looking to get 4 comp picks next year- a 4th, 5th, 5th and 6th

They will need 1.8m to sign their draft picks based on the Rule of 51

Cap Space added if needed
Trade Romo- 5m
Release/trade Romo post June 1st- 14m
Extend Witten- 4m
Restructure Dez-8m
Restructure TCrawford- 5m
Thanks for the update!

That really was hilarious. Thanks for the genius cap lesson.
"Dont worry honey, we are broke, but we are really rich. All I have to do is use these 3 credit cards here and we can afford rent for another year". :lmao2::lmao:

And Romo and Witten and Free and OScan and Lee and Dez will be gone

There is no justification for the lack of improvement thru FA

We aren't that good a drafting and we stink at trading

There's another thread calling us the best drafting team in the league. I don't know that it's accurate, but we certainly don't stink at drafting.

you are finally starting to get it................real life has nothing to do with a salary cap

the increases are built in and the excess is carried over

it would be like your childish analogy if those credit cards were not only interest free but paid a 10% cash back and you got a 8% raise every year with unused sick and vacation days rolled over

but you are too cheap to even go to Outback for your birthday....."I can cook a better steak and make my own Bloomin Onion"......sound fun
