Sam Hurd: Felix Jones 10 times better than Brian Westbrook

Hurd said. “And I like Brian Westbrook. I've always liked him. He's a great player. I mean, awesome.

“But Felix, man. Like I always say, I ain't ever seen nothing like Felix Jones.”

When did great player and awesome become insulting words?

He's just gushing about both of them

At best it's only mitigating that he just said a 2nd year backup RB with only 30 rush attempts to his name is 10X better than an all-pro player.

Yup ...... its just a myth like chemistry and outside distractions

'Overrated' isn't the same thing as 'myth.' And I don't recall anyone saying chemistry or distractions are myths, either. Least of all, me.

Ask Jimmy Johnson if a little bulletin board material is necessarily bad for your team.

You mean like telling SF put it in 3 inch letters Dallas will win? :laugh1:

You either swagger, or you don't.

Jimmy Johnson was playing mind games ..... and we were the defending Superbowl champs.

The last time we faced the Eagles ..... we got humiliated.

There is no point ...... I mean no point ..... in giving Philly's defense (who just lost their mentor) a reason to get up even more for playing Felix Jones.

Jimmy was using his comments as intimidation ...... no one is intimidated by our 3rd or 4th string WR ..... but they can be pissed off.

Like you I don't put much into the board material. I think it serves a purpose through the practice week but once the ball is kicked off the game comes down to the same things it always does. Which team executes and makes the fewest mistakes that is the team who will win. In the case of Philly there is no love loss and I expect them to come in ready to play regardless of what was said or not said.

See, I see it as giving reason for Felix to get even more up for playing Philly's defense. You think there's no point to that?

And Jimmy wasn't intimidating anyone. He was letting his alligator mouth write a check for his team to try to cash. There's a definite point to that if you've got faith in your team.

Yes we got humiliated and did not even say anything negative ahead of time. Philly Defense will be up no matter what. It is our team’s job to go out and do their job in the end words do not win games nor do they lose games. Hurd said he thought Westbook was great but feels his own teammate is better hell I want our guys rallying around each other and could careless of what Westbrook feels.

Ok ..... I give up.

Let the guys say whatever they want about the other teams.

Teams do not have an issue talking about us. I would say if a player makes comment of how we are going to beat someone well you better be ready to back it up.

It wasn't a smart thing to say -- but it wasn't something that is going to get any Eagle panties in a bunch. It just makes Hurd sound like a ******* - this isn't cocky chest pounding stuff that makes bulletin boards

Sam Hurd should be worrying about making the roster.

Brian Westbrook is one good player.

I just hope Felix can come close to his production. :)

That's more like it

I agree in that it's not quite the level of Crayton's work.
