First of all Michael Gallup had 1000 yards he was a pretty solid #2 a very good #3 he didn't get paid to a huge contract that was chump change compared to amari Cooper but he didn't have a lot of leeway of taking some of his athleticism which he didn't have very much away so yeah he collapsed but Sam Williams ain't that dude he ain't done a damn thing to be getting a contract like that what's gonna happen is he'll resign for the veteran minimum I'd have to come in and prove he's worth any kind of money at all outside of the veteran minimum. In the story why do you think they would pay him he hasn't done a single thing as a starter? So let's make sure you differentiate between the two one guy was on his way up had some really good outings showed a lot until he blew his knee out and never was the same but they only paid that dude about $11 million a year which is nothing nowadays to be the number two and or number three he never recovered too bad so sad happened with jalen Williams who was a starter at one time as well Sam Williams hasn't even got to that debate he's not in line for a big contract at all this isn't a next man up market guy this is a dude he's going to have to take whatever crumbs someone offers him..

FACT so when they say they're not gonna cut him they will offer him a lowball contract and tell him go prove you're healthy if not they'll let him walk.. They cut Taco after two seasons and he was their first round pick. He never suffered a serious injury or had an off the field issue. I’m not saying they’re going to cut Sam Williams if he misses the entire 2024 season but there’s no assurances he makes the team next year if that happens. He’s been up and down and this is an important season for him.

Williams has shown a lot more than Taco, come on dude we're talking about a guy that's a lot more like Randy Gregory than we want to admit but The thing is he won't get offered a big deal he'll get offered a deal approve it veteran minimum to come off his wheels and see it but he's got more talent then Randy Gregory in my opinion they both had off the field issues and now injury issues so yeah there's a lot of parallels and go like Randy Gregory got from Denver? I think people learn her lesson from that but when you have an injury like this he's gonna get offered a way to stay here it's gonna be under the minimum that's it he's not getting big money offers from anywhere coming off a bad wheel and not really having proven much here but he's way better than Taco he's like two tacos you know the two tacos or the three tacos for $0.99 yeah that would be Sam Williams has way more talent way more speed way more aggression he's a little bit too aggressive at times at the end of place but the man's got a first step that is an NFL player for sure...

His chances aren’t near that high of making the team next year if he misses this season with an ACL. He’s been inconsistent. He shows flashes but disappears. He can’t afford to miss the entire season. It can take a long time to come back from a major knee injury and time isn’t on his side.

I bet half the league is gonna experience something like that it happens all the time but we don't know yet what the actual details are... If they get thin there's a huge list a free agent still out there.. The kind of people you bring in close to the game one or right after game one there's some veterans out there if you really need one but he's 3rd on the depth chart and pass rushers and you never know he might have been beat out by kneeland anyway... However if this is a season ender there's no reason we can't bring in a guy similar to the way we did with Fowler I'm sure that Mike Zimmer has a list just like Quinn did of guys he can bring in that are out there available or will be available at cut down...

True. Its not like Sam Williams was a lock to be an all pro at DE. He might be just rotational. I agree. But we look thin at DE.
