Indeed he will. Thing is, once Barr is healthy Clark is probably going to go back to just a 15-20% of the snaps rotational piece. Which is fine I guess.. Having a veteran out there to corral Barkley and Taylor might not be the worst thing in the world.
Unlikely.

Clark is already better.

Barr can't beat Jonathan Hankins in a footrace...

Fowler is my guy…dude is just mean… out here body slamming folks. He tackled cooks so hard the bench players where checking for flags and looking like they’re surprised Cook got up.

I just like the absolute anger with which he tackles people. He aint gently guidin nobody to the ground. Running backs, QBs, coaches, you name it.. everybody gets slammed to the ground with bad intentions.
He can't get too carried away, especially playing with a Star on his helmet. However, I love the mean disposition he and Wilson add to this collection of monsters!

Sam Williams has some Charles Haley nasty to him.. That dude is finna be a top 10 DE in the league in a minute. I have not rewatched the game to evaluate Clark yet but the fact that I didn't see Dalvin Cook setting sail on a any long runs tells me he held his own. Cook had a decent outing but a lot of it was garbage time.. I mean we were up 34 points by the middle of the 3rd quarter and they were still running.. so his numbers have to be taken with a grain of salt.

I can't say enough about how excited I am about Williams.. He just LOOKS like a badass defensive end. He seems like he's about to become everything we HOPED Randy Gregory would.. minus the affinity for bong hits.
Sam is already coming into his own at the perfect time and will be an integral piece of this D moving forward, reminds me a lot of Tony Tolbert, but better.

Clark is becoming more comfortable, just like Sam when he was being introduced initially, you can see it with Clark just from his presence on the field.

Sam, Clark and Bland were the 3 remaining components that I wanted to see becoming relevant before post season play and we are seeing that in spades.

What an incredible draft we had in April.

Williams looking better and better each game. They are bringing him along, and using him correctly so far.
Have not notice much on Clark, except when they call his name. Hoping Cox can get into that mix as well.
How can you miss 33... :D

Of the two, Williams is far ahead of Clark, who has barely played. I’m not knocking Damone Clark but seeing him as a soon to be star is a stretch IMO.

33 is just getting his feet wet, and maybe why Barr remains inactive.
Sam was confused and green as well when first getting involved, but he has developed quickly for a rook.
If Clark can come along just as quickly as Sam has, then this defense can run with anyone.
Clarks development gives this D the ability to cover and shut down TEs in this league, and run with the big WRs, and as that ability improves so will his run support.

Dude hit 22 mph chasing down Fields a few weeks ago. I hope I don't need to explain to people how fast that is for a 250 pound man to be running.. IN FULL PADS!!! He's got a TON to learn but you can't teach what he already has.. blazing speed, great instincts and a lunch pail work ethic.
4.57 in the 40 at 245 lbs. That be moving for sure.

Yeah a 15 year starter at tackle, future pro bowl DE and LB.. and a possible future pro bowl slot corner. And that's not even mentioning what looks to be a pair of 10 year contributors at TE. Indeed.. quite the haul.

Been stacking a few drafts, but this draft just smells like future key additions that can evolve and already are evolving and contributing quickly.
Rooks making plays was a necessity, and I honestly thought it was too much to expect from a rookie class.

That 40 times doesn't even capture how truly fast he is because he's a bigger, longer guy who probably is not nearly as quick from a standing start as he is once he gets up a head of steam. Kind of like Derrick Henry.. who clocked like 4.53 at the combine but it's easy to see that once he gets going he's a lot faster than that. Not that 4.5 is slow or anything.. just that the combine 40 only tells part of the story..

Agree Ronnie and as I stated on another thread, with these 2 and Parsons we are getting that Jimmy Johnson speed back on the D, when he had those fast LB’s.

I like both of them but the reason you didn’t see cook going off is minny bailed on run sooner than they needed to I believe
But I agree Williams definitely looks like a hit . Clark hitting would be great cause I’m tired of watching LVE

Seriously….Sam Williams for sure….keep seeing him in the backfield…getting pressures and tackles for loss.
