Bummer, thought he had a great opportunity this year to make a big leap forward with Fowler and Armstrong not here. DE depth definitely took a hit.

Cowboys should call Ngakoue I think he's the only remaining edge defender that could be a great rotational guy and allowing Kneeland more time to develop.

exactly! Folks aren't realizing this fact. Dude was pushing to start. That was the plan. Losing a cog in the wheel like him was a big setback short term, maybe Longterm. Its now on Jerry and Stevie/McClay to find a real viable solution pronto. We were already thin at line. Now a slight problem has been magnified 3 fold. We could see if a guy can be had via trade. Are their any disgruntled DE prospects on a team thats holding out or that can be traded? Any teams with a surplus of ends? I haven't had much time yet to do a deep dive.

Sam was having a nice offseason and seemed eager to get his shot. I feel badly for him. Honestly, his days in Dallas might be done. Maybe thats unfair but the reality of this league. I wish the guy well.

agree. His deal will be up and so he's gone. Maybe in time, with a fresh start, he will be a decent player. I had a good feeling about him this year. He was a key guy on Bones' special teams unit btw. He was pretty good at blocking punts.
