It's Jerry's fault.
It's Wade's fault.
It's Garrett's fault.
It's Romo's fault.

Does anyone ever consider that the #1 defense in the NFL just proved to us that they are legitimately #1?
Does anyone ever consider that we're still a very good team, but like the NYG loss, we lost to a better team? and this one on the road at the end of the game?

Why do so many people think we're the greatest team around, but poorly coached or underachieving?

To me, this was a very hard fought defensive game, and the #1 defense in the NFL did just enough to beat the Dallas Cowboys and hold us off at the 1 yard line with our top receiver out of the game.

We're 2-2, and our two losses were to two undefeated teams, both losses coming at the end of the game.

I'm not happy with losing, and I'm not trying to look on the bright side, but unless you are simply deluded enough to think the Cowboys are the best team in the NFL, but the coach and/or owner-gm are holding them back, then this is just the way it goes some weeks.

Washington has an identical 2-2 record, but every team they've played had 0 wins when they played them. StL and TB are both still winless, while Detroit's only win was against the Skins. The Cowboys have two very tight losses against teams that are both 4-0.

I'm not throwing in the towel yet.

It's Captain Overthrows fault.
It's Spencers fault.
It's Newmans fault.
It's everyones fault.

Does anyone ever consider that we overthrew many catchable balls?
Does anyone ever consider that we're still doing the same stupid **** that we did last year and were more or less promised would be corrected?

Why do so many people think that we're being unrealistic for expecting to have a QB who can hit a receiver in stride. Or a defense that can catch a ball that goes into their hands?

To me, this was another game on a laundry list of past games where we have opportunities to win and just make the same stupid mistakes.

We're 2-2, When you consider that every game we've played, despite our opponents records, we've looked pretty sloppy.

I'm not happy with winning, and I'm not trying to look on the negative side, but we shouldn't be deluded enough to think the Cowboys can put together a complete game, despite the weather, the altitude, the coaches, the players, the birds, the bees, the flowers and the trees.

Washington has an identical 2-2 record and we're not them.

I'm throwing in the towel.

We're a "better" 2-2 than a team that just broke the Lions 19 game winless streak last week and barely held off a team that will be picking in the top 5 in next years draft today.

Wow.

See you on the other side by late November

Well we lost to the Giants because of turnovers and we lost against Denver because of turnovers.

The real problem with this team is that you don't know what team will show up on Sunday. It's always something that lets you down and there are players on this team that need a real wake up call (yes you Hamlin) because they are playing like garbage. If the D plays well, the O struggles - if the O plays well, the D struggles. I have yet to see a solid performance by both sides of the ball this yr.

Wayne have to disagree because were now in year 3 of the same old song. We beat the medicore and bad teams but lose in the last seconds to the good teams. Who do you blame? When do you take action? The object is to win the Superbowl and if we lose to the good teams for three years now someone needs to be accountable.

There was plenty of blame to go around on how this happened. Denver was a much better team than a lot of people gave them credit for being but we continuely shot ourselves in the foot tonight and that allowed Denver to play their kind of game and win it.

We aren't nearly as talented as some of us think we are. Our secondary is pretty bad. But yet again, any game we lose, there is always one common denominator......Romo turning the ball over.

We lost this game because of it, and we lost the Giants game because of it. When he doesn't turn the ball over, we win. Pretty much every time.

When he fumbles and throws picks, we lose.

Its really that simple.

I dont think anyone is throwing in the towel yet. I am very close which flies in the face of everything I stand for.

However, dealing with reality and this team means that you have to acknowledge the flaws here.

I thought going into the season that we would struggle early, I thought we would have a hard time throwing the football because in the past when we struggled we would make a huge play in the passing game. We ended up relying on those big plays and that is one of the main things that hurt us as seasons wore on.

Now we are learning to play without those bailout big plays, but in the process we are seeing other flaws that cannot be denied and have always been a thorn in this side.

to top it off we are now becoming an injured team. We have a key player who might have been enough of a difference to open things up today in felix, but he is unreliable. he can not stay healthy and he can not be counted on.

now we had ratliff coming and going from the field because he was banged up, we have sensebaugh out which means teams will isolate watkins and he will no doubt give up big plays. Dont think for a second Todd haley wont attack watkins. he is a big play or a flag waiting to happen.

this team needed this win and the kc game to give them a cushion for the upcoming tougher games, we needed this win to settle the team down mentally, to be able to go into the bye week focused.

Now this team may have serious issues heading into that bye week.

and most importantly when you watch us play for 60 minutes I see no way we can hang with the giants or eagles. So to me that puts more pressure on winning games like today and we didnt.

For whatever reason, I cant put my finger on it and I cant blame one person player or coach this team just finds ways to lose.

We have seen this game repeatedly since 05. the skins game in 05, the oakland game in 05, the giants game in 05, the seattle game in 05, the jax game in 06, the detroit game in 06, we won on the days when we had these games in 07 over detroit, minnesota and buffalo and that was the difference in that season. Last year we saw this game repeatedly also....at arizona, at pittsburgh and against the ravens.

We seemingly do everything right and have the ball on the tee to finish people and we make one mistake which leads to an abundance of mistakes and then in turn costs us a game late.

I dont know how you shake it, I dont know how you pinpoint the problem. the only thing we can hope is the team busts its hump during the week and comes out and plays a tough game and finishes kc off to get a repreive from the crap storm coming going into the bye.

I know I have personally thrown my hands up because it is always something. there wasnt a fluke play today to blame it on, it was a series of poor plays from us and the other team as seems to always happen stepping up and making that play we cant make.

Come tomorrow morning we will all get the usual excuses from the usual people. Unfortunately that is all this organization has, lip service.....oh and party plaza's and a big videoboard.

It's not complaining. It's therapy and there are a HECK of a lot of folks who need it. Who knows what would happen in real life communities both near and far if it weren't for sites like CowboysZone?

I feel your enthusiasm. But it's been the same ol Merry Go Round year after year and quite frankly I'm tired of riding it.

:laugh2: Wayne's always good for a homer post after a loss.

It is the fault of everyone you mentioned, but ultimately the man at the top is responsible for it all.

Toss that towel. The season's over. Best case scenario for this bunch is sneaking into the playoffs at 9-7, and I doubt that after watching that garbage today.

The Cowboys need to clean house, starting at the top.

It really is. Guys just need to play better. Some more than others. Or at least somebody should step up.

Good post, wayne.
This is true. Lord knows I've read enough stories about people tearing up their property after a loss.
