Umm The Eagles website said I was right, the game play by play said I was right. Everything said I was right except for your opinion.

Ask anyone here if Koy Detmer was the backup QB for the Eagles last year before mcNabb was injured. The backup QB is the holder for Kicks, and Detmer held every kick

And yet, it was McMahon who came in for the injured McNabb. Either Andy Reid feels putting the best talent on the field is no the best way to go, or McMahon was his #2 whom he felt was better. I don't really care what the Eagles depth chart that was made out at the start of the season says, he brought it McMahon, not Detmer.

Anyway, it is no longer up for debate. Think what you will

That is correct he put in his 3rd string QB which was the point, you said no team ever starts a 3rd string QB over a backup I proved you wrong

My first post in this thread where I ctied the 30 yard slant.

This Eagles QB argument is an example. You're wrong. Everyone knows you're wrong.

Please go to an Eagles message board and ask the question. Believe them if you don't believe us. They'll tell you the exact same thing BgDFan5 and I are saying. Koy Detmer was #2, McMahon was #3. When McNabb went down Reid went with McMahon elevating #3 past #2.

HH, you're losing more credibility with every post. If that's what you seek, by all means continue. However, don't look for respect as a football source here because that is blown forever if you don't back the train up real soon.

I think the real question here is since McMahon went in would it have been possible for Detmer to come in. McMahon was the emergency QB and as such the second stringer was not eligible to enter the game.

Again, if Detmer was Reid's number 2 at that time, why was he not put in? Reid has ALWAYS been a win first coach liek Parcells. he doesnt waste time on young players developing, especially QBs. He wants to win every game no matter wehat position his team is in in the standings.

The fact that Reid put McMahon in instead of Detmer tells me that McMahon was his #2, unless Philly is in the habit of placing their 2nd best QB in the 3rd spot, which I'm willing to bet Andy Reid isnt quit that dumb.
