Only thing i really like about TNA now is their cross promotional stuff with AAA. I really liked TNA back when they first started up they seemed more about having young talented guys putting on great matches then big names and terrible storylines back then, but that's gone right down the toilet. A Hogan vs Sting main event in 2011 is the exact opposite of what made TNA so much fun when they first started out.

Newsflash...I've never had any problem getting an autograph or picture from a WWE wrestler. One of the nicer guys to fans is ADR...your favorite.

I've already debunked that entire bunch of BS he just spewed. Posts like that last one of his are exactly why I have zero respect for anything he says in wrestling because he just spews garbage.

Agreed. I loved them when they first started and I watched them on Fox Sports Southwest when they were first getting on TV and loved their shows.

I was a HUGE fan of how they pushed Abyss as a monster back then cause I thought they did it perfectly. The place has went downhill, steadily, for me personally every since they got on SPIKE and even more so after they brought in Hogan and Bish.

Folks like R2A and their permeation of the fanbase is a big reason why I stopped following pro wrestling.

Well that, and the lack of star power.

Eh….marks are marks. They’ve been around forever and they drive the industry. I often find smarks to be even worse because they are too worried about their internet image that they may actually like something that isn’t considered 4 stars or ‘high brow.’ The original ‘Hat Guy’ in the ECW Arena was the perfect fan because he was smart to the business, but he didn’t need to let the world know that and had more fun cheering for faces and booing the heels.

I think the fans that really annoy me are the ones that are marks for themselves instead of being marks for the actual performers. Y'know the kind...the ones wanting to start a cussing chant every 5 minutes. The ones with 10 different signs. The ones that try to dress up like famous fans, such as the original Hat Guy.

My waning interest in pro wrestling has more to do with the actual writing and booking of cards and how bookers and writers miss out on so many traditional, simple and key parts of pro wrestling. I think there's star power out there, but the WWE writers flunk out on it and everybody else tries to emulate the WWE.

Listen bud, im with ya on alot of the stuff written in this thread so far, but claiming to know what an entire group of people all think is juuuuuuust a bit of a stretch.

Again though, there's a reason the "old" guys continue to be the biggest draws. Wrestling today just isnt' what it used to be. Writing and booking is awful in all companies right now, and most of the new personalities developed are just lame.

Right...WWE is very good about having their people deal with special needs kids as well. And that is on the wrestlers free time...they do not have to do it but will. I would think TNA would have a similar setup.

I agree that pretty much the vast majority of writing and booking is awful, I won't go so far as to say that all is, and while i don't like all the new personalities there are some that I rather enjoy to be honest.

Now depending on exactly what you're defining as new I'd say that off the top of my head, people I consider still fairly new, that I enjoy are Sheamus, The Miz, Del Rio, and Crimson.

Couple those with what I feel like are real good to great personalities already established in CM Punk, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, HHH, Kurt Angle and Cena (I'm not so much a fan but I understand why they push him the way they do and in getting that I'm very respectful of how John pulls it off), and both shows have some stuff to enjoy watching for sure.

I'm also really liking the way both Mark Henry and Big Show are now being used as well.

I'll take that challenge. I've been to quite a few events over the years (including Monday night 1 week ago) and I've never experienced this BS you just spewed about how they don't care if you're there.

If you're there early enough prior to the show you can meet them walking through the building, they'll just randomly walk into the hallways where people are already at and sign some stuff and take pictures and just chat. It's been that way at every single live WWE event I've been to in my life time. Be it RAW, Smackdown, or PPVs.

So basically I'll call you out on that complete BS.

Ive gone to quite a few shows. They sent out Val Venis, Simon Dean and Lita. More recently Santino Marella Thanks WWE. Im sure thats better than Jeff Hardy, Kurt Angle, Jeff Jarrett, AJ Styles, Chris Daniels, etc;

Sure, there is a storyline or two that we get attached to every now and then i bet, but for the majority of the time im just fast forwarding to the guys i like. Its not like it used to be where the entire program was entertaining and they knew how to write up a fued that kept people on the edge of their seat.

And again I'll say you either are the most unlucky person on Earth or you're completely full of crap.

It's pretty much as clear as I can make it.

I've never been to a single show, ever, where the bottom rung of people were the only ones you could see or interact with.

So again either you're unlucky as heck or you're full of it. I guess there is the third option that you were extremely annoying and none of them were willing to talk to you because of it. I'm sure there are times when that happens to some fans as well.

Also I'd rather meet Santino that Jeff Hardy, Jeff Jarrett, or AJ Styles.

Hardy and Jarrett simply because I think they completely suck and they hold no value what so ever to me.

AJ just because I find him boring. Great performer but I have no desire to meet him.

Kurt Angle and Daniels are the only two on that list that I'd much rather meet than Santino.

But you couldn't pay me to meet Jarrett or Hardy.

Sorry Roy I didn't mean it to come off as saying that you were saying that I was just pointing out that I wouldn't go so far as to say it. I was agreeing with you on the general portion of the topic and just expanded on it and did so poorly here.

Crimson is one of the true bright spots of what TNA is doing correctly right now. I like that guy and I do think he has some serious potential to be a major player.

I'm starting to lose hope that he'll ever work again, Jericho is one of my favorites, no one does whiny heel as well as he does. I hope he comes back somewhere, anywhere i really don't care as long as he comes back to call the audience tapeworms one last time :laugh2:

I get a kick out of it when he calls the audience "plebeians"... other than that, though, he never did much for me...
