QB: Dak Prescott
RB: Ezekiel Elliott
WR: Ceedee Lamb
WR: Odell Beckham Jr.
WR: Michael Gallup
TE: Jake Ferguson
LT: Tyler Smith
LG: Jason Peters
C: Tyler Biadasz
RG: Zack Martin
RT: Tyron Smith

You can flip flop Tyler Smith and Jason Peters but I'm betting they will want to keep the old man in a phone booth rather than out on the edge. That's the OL until Steele comes back. Then you shift Tyron over and move Tyler to LG.

I wish I expected more but I don't. Seeing Zeke in there is inexcusable but I really believe that unless he turns down a pay cut he will be back in the same role he had this year. Disgusting.

It's not enough. We need more around this QB. Particularly at RB and TE. I'd rather have someone other than OBJ too. If this group is an upgrade over last year I'd call it only a minor one as while OBJ improves the WRs, Schultz is a better receiver than Ferguson.

With McCarthy taking over the offense Im holding out hope that will lead to more personnel changes than this but knowing how this front office operates, that's my guess at how this all shakes out for the opener.

Cowboys!
9-8 - No Playoffs.

We made it as far as Jacksonville and the Giants.

Regular season wins mean squat.

Expect better, or knowing you, don't.

Wallow in the mediocrity instead.
I wonder what some fans expectations were last August and September. There was a thread about what would one consider a successful season. Winning the division, as many said win a playoff game.
I wonder if those are still content with what happened, and how it happened.

They blew a winnable game against SF...or Dak blew it actually.

I was happy the beat TB, we all were, I was not happy how it ended. Especially from Dak.

But yet we will get a PC with Jerry and son smiling...we extended Dak, we are happy to be stuck in mediocrity for 10 more years....and we can afford 5 more bargain basement FA's on one year prove you are over your injury players.

They're more than likely to take the QB position seriously at 4-13 with horrible play then they are at 12-5 with slightly less horrible play.
Depends on the reasons (excuses) of why they went 4-13. Were there injuries on either or both sides of the ball, therefore giving Dak an excuse.
Those 4 wins would have to be a healthy team and poor play from Dak.

Expectations change as the season goes on.

I'm sure Tampa fans had high expectations for their team. I'm sure those changed as the season went on.

When you win 12 games you're expected to make noise in the playoffs instead of losing in embarrassing fashion because of bad QB play.

Exactly.

That's why Cowboys fans should hope Dak regresses even more next seasons.

It needs to be so bad that Jerry can't justify keeping him and will do whatever it takes to get rid of him.

I would rather have TY Hilton instead of OBJ. Just my opinion.

Sounds about right.

10-7 and bounced in the 3/6 game.

Then people telling us how they won 34 regular season games in three years

BTW…..look at the average age of that starting offense and let me know how that falls in line with “long term thinking.”

They have reached a pathetic new low with exposing themselves with their own mouths.

I think OBJ will price himself out of Dallas. They will want to add him, but coming off an injury and not playing for a year, they are looking for a bargain while OBJ is looking for a payday.

We will look to add another James Washington-esque bargain. Some player with potential who hasn't stepped up enough to earn a big payday. A Mecole Hardman or Parris Campbell, although they both might be out of our price range, too. Maybe a Mack Hollins or Greg Dortch.

Can’t see Zeke as the starter he doesn’t provide near enough juice. Late in the season his carries were decreasing. If Pollard walks they’ll have to do something at RB. They’ll need a productive back.
