Scandrick Injury

Man, it just hit me in the last month. Have you found any way to treat it and/or get rid of it?
So I had it in my right foot, in the mornings I would have to crawl around for a while and then it would loosen a bit. Always hurt non stop. Anyway I got shots and did stretches I even went through sonar therapy(awful). I went to a doctor and they did cast of my feet like plaster cast. Then they molded me inserts hard plastic ones. Long story Long, almost immediately within days pain gone and gone to this day, now wouldn't help a football guy now but it may help you. It was really expensive like 5-600 each foot, insurance covered it and the pain has never came back. That's been 10 years and I'm 40.

Definitely could tell he was playing with some kind of injury, as he just didn't look comfortable on the field. That being said, he played pretty well against the Vikings. He's definitely someone who will get some rest if Dallas wraps up the 1 seed early.

For those who are saying drop him, do y'all even look at the cap when you make these assertions? He's not droppable for several more years. In 2-3 years he'll just be our slot corner, which will be overpaying for him, but a cheap Anthony Brown contract will help offset that a bit.

Foam roller on your calves can do wonders. Plantar fascism is all connected with that area so more mobility in calf can relieve tension on feet. That's helped me and also what I learned in school

I'd rest starting week 16, 3 weeks off should help. We need all hands on deck for the playoffs. I want to go in as close to 100% as possible.
Plantar fasciitis can and often does last months. Last time I had it, I was in pain for 6 months.

I think he gets another...unless they grab another top CB in FA or draft. But only because I think two years removed from an ACL would get him back to where he needs to be. All these nagging injuries seem to be byproducts from the original injury.
Agree

Mine developed over twenty years ago and have only gotten worse, I worked 8 hours on hard surfaces that likely lead to the condition to worsen, my doctor list mine as chronic, as after this amount time they never recover...mine are a result of flat feet, so I'm told.

The things I have tried,

Custom orthotics, ice the bottom of your feet, there are stretches that can be done first thing in the morning, and in my case losing weight, which I did, but at this point that did not help...as a last resort cortisone shots are a possibility.

I hope this helps and know how painful they can be...I feel for you.

my doc told me throw a couple tennis balls in the freezer and roll them under my feet.

A tennis ball may help, but freezing it won't -- it will not change it's pliability or retain temperature.
Better to freeze a plastic water bottle.

Orthotics and stretching are the usual fix.

Wow, there's a lot Zoners w Plantar Fasciitis.

I'm sorry to hear it's effecting as many as it is.

Get well, guys.

damn, I have that in both my feet right now and can barely walk, I dont see how he can play

Rolling my foot over a soup can helped me a lot. It affected me the most when I was sedentary for a while, getting out of bed or after my commute to work. But after I was on my feet for a minute or two, the pain subsided.

This is something you won't want to hear but the best solution is rest, which translates to staying off your feet as much as possible. Sad but true, I'm afraid. Most of the other remedies afford temporary relief at best. Wearing shoes with arch support is a helpful preventative.

I had plantar fasciitis for a good while, even had shots in my heels (very painful procedure that didn't do squat). I got over it by doing calve raises on a 4"x4" board every day. It took some time but it worked.

You gave birth to a baby cow on an elevated piece of wood?

Daily?

I didn't mean he'd be 100% just that it would help. With physical therapy he should improve, I've had it too while in the army and that what I did.
