these playoffs scare me. before I start, let me say that i have been a huge Boys fan since 1981, suffered thru the 1-15 seasons, 5-11 seasons, live in DC where I HATE the skins. But heres why:

As much as I like the boys to beat the skins on Sunday, I dont see it happening. I can see us losing like 24-17. Thank god for the Bears. I did not see us winning had the bears lost. Losing jason campbell was the best thing for those skins. lucky *******s.

skins will be the final seed. i can see them winning a close game in Seattle. the media will love it and play up the sean taylor angle.

skins will then go to dallas. this matchup scares me. We were lucky to win that close one in November when Campbell threw that pick to Newman. An experienced Todd Collins will not throw that pick. What if Romo's thumb is hurt? what if he's rusty from the layoff? Will TO be ready? also, who knows about Wade phillips. Hes been a great coach but he did choke in buffalo and denver. remember, 2 years ago Steelers beat the colts after a layoff. HFA is great but no guarantee.

Worst case scenario is skins beat us, and meet green bay in NFCCG. that would be a nightmare. like sodom vs gamorrah.

I hope I'm wrong. any thoughts?
You live in DC but are scared of the Commanders? That's a first for a "Cowboys" fan. Forgive me if I figure you are a Commanders fan posing as a Cowboys fan.

This isn't my first rodeo.

There isnt one team in the NFC that scares me except the Dallas Cowboys. If they play good penalty free football they will go to the Super Bowl, if not they will lose.

No true Cowboys fan is EVER scared of the Commanders. Not EVER!

Troll. :bang2:

Very True.
Here is my scenario. I would love for Dallas to beat the Commanders with our back ups. However, if we lose, I win $150 for predicting the Cowboys will have 13 wins this year......I think I want to beat them with our back ups.....

Of course, but that works both ways.

With everything to play for and playing at home, against the Cowboys, I expect the Commanders to play their absolute best. We have nothing to play for and we will likely rest some guys. Still, because it is the Commanders we have a reason to play to win so I expect a good game.

If we go into FedEx Field and come out with a win, in a game with nothing on the line for us, knocking the Commanders out of the playoffs, that would be ultra-sweet!

The NFC East is the toughest division in football and we could end up with every team at or above 8-8 if the Eagles beat Buffalo in Philly next week. Every game against a division rival is a tough one and that is what makes this so much fun!

Good luck and I hope you lose. :D

Easily the toughest, quite possibly the best too.

The second half of this season is turning out pretty much how I expected.

They moved the game to 4:15 EST for a reason. Biggest rivalry and hopefully the best game.

Oh, and I hope you lose too. :D

"Possibly the best game?" Please.

The Cowboys are playing in it, aren't they? :p:

Hope you lose. Seriously.

I'll be honest and say I didn't expect Collins to do this well. I do think we win next week and beat Seattle...however I also think that Dallas will have the advantage in emotional intensity being the number 1 seed when we go to their place. Not that a victory will be impossible, but I would be very surprised.

In any case, just making the playoffs after the injuries and adversity from this season would say alot about the team

The only team that scares is Dallas themselves. No team in the NFC is on Dallas level.

However, I have been unimpressed with Dallas play since the second half of the Green Bay game.

Time for Dallas to get back in gear.

The Dallas Cowboys can lose to any team in the NFL, including every single team in the playoff hunt and many that aren't going to the playoffs, including Philly.

That said, there is not a team in the NFC that I fear, not Washington, not the Giants, not Seattle, TB, not even the Packers.

The only teams I see as serious threats even to our best game are Jacksonville, Indy, and NE. We could beat any of them, but they are the 3 that I would fear.

When you fear the prospect of losing to an inferior team by playing poorly, then you live every week with fear, waiting for your team to blow it, not really believing they are as good as their record. Any team in the NFC can beat us, but none of them should, so I have no fear of any of them.

I think NE and Indy should have a huge load of respect/fear for Jacksonville...unless their QB chokes in his first trip to the playoffs, it wouldn't surprise me at all to see them in the SB.

Not wishing, hoping.

I don't dream about football. I watch it and talk about it.

You might dream and hope the Cowboys play all of their starters against the weakened Commanders, but for some reason I think that is unlikely.

Nah, neither. Our backups could beat Collins & Co.

Hey, if you've bet that the Cowboys will have 13 wins, just collect your money. Because even with a win at Washington, the Cowboys have their 13 wins and more.

However, if you bet the Cowboys will have 3 losses, it's a different story.
