Yeah, I'm glad we didn't pay him that. IMO he never turned out to be the guy we thought we were getting as a "steal" in the draft. Solid player, but I'm glad we've moved on. Hoping for Ro to get resigned and draft someone like Eric Kendricks.

The "bad" Bruce Carter who sometimes didn't give much effort outshined the "good" Bruce Carter who looks like a pro-bowler at times.

Guys like that are coach killers.

5 mil per for a player who you never knew which guy was showing up. Congrats and best of luck Bruce. And great job on showing restraint Stephen and Jerry.

And Durant was paid well beyond what he was worth.

No doubt in my mind that Carter is also.

Its funny, we signed Durant for what 3 million per as a 27 year old coming off a 100 tackle season. He struggle with injuries and effectivness in 2013, has a couple decent games before getting hurt this year and bam, he is suddenly a commedity

That ain't much. Wonder why we didn't keep him for that money?? Someone on the staff shot him down IMO.

$5 million a year is a bit more than I'd pay him, but there didn't seem to be any real interest in bringing him back.

5 mil for a BACKUP Linebacker too bc Hitchens is clearly being penned as a starter next year and for good reason. Don't get me wrong, BC was GREAT at times last year and made some spectacular plays, showing off his incredible athletic ability. Problem is that he still had far too many outings where he was below-average, sometimes even a downright liability. Hitchens IMO was easily the more impressive and especially more consistent performer out of the two and honestly, were it not for Hitchens, I don't think we would've even made the playoffs. So all in all, good move by the F.O., now all we gotta do is re-sign Ro and draft a guy or two.
