If Dak " Bombs" this year, will fans still think he's the undisputed number one? I personally think he is the real deal...even if he " struggles" in his sophomore year.

I'm pretty sure he won't forget how to play all of the sudden.

True, but I would say Dirk has earned it much more than Romo has, no?
apples and oranges

5 starters in hoops, 22 starters (plus special teams) in football.
A great NBA player can control his destiny way more than just one single football player...even if he counts as more as a QB. He still is not even on the field most of the time.

But yes. Dirk is a first ballot HOFer. Romo is not.
I do recall for year many people treating Dirk just like they did Tony...with no respect. But the Mavs broke through a title and the rest is history.

Not suggesting he will. I just hope fans realize it's his second year. A " fall back" doesn't necessarily = Bust.

Not surprising, no team wants to deal with that $24 million contract.

If they release Romo it would be one of the dumbest things Jerry's done as the Owner. Just completely idiotic.

Yes sir! Very dumb and I will be extremely pissed. Screw allowing the money to go over 2 years. Eat it now and get picks. We owe Tony nothing. He's made over 100 million, lives in a mansion, and is married to blonde hottie! I can't feel sorry for him.

I'm not expecting the man to be quite as lights-out as last season but I do expect him to be good.

Honestly with CZ we could trade him for anywhere from a 1st overall to a 7th and people would still be mad they didn't get more. Lol

Thanks for the assist. One more and you'll get your triple double.

They have obviously explored their trade options and it's not worth holding onto him until training camp when a team may overpay. Sucks that it turned out like this, but it is best for Romo at least.
