If Dak " Bombs" this year, will fans still think he's the undisputed number one? I personally think he is the real deal...even if he " struggles" in his sophomore year.

A great NBA player can control his destiny way more than just one single football player...even if he counts as more as a QB. He still is not even on the field most of the time.

But yes. Dirk is a first ballot HOFer. Romo is not.
I do recall for year many people treating Dirk just like they did Tony...with no respect. But the Mavs broke through a title and the rest is history.

I get it's apples and oranges, I didn't make the comparison. Just stating regardless Dirk has earned the right to special treatment more than Romo has by a long shot IMO.
