That is so freakem awesome. I'm in California and a fan i ran into told me he used to go to the Cowbiys training camp here in Thousand Oaks in the 60s. They'd let him carry the players pads and help with practices when he was a kid. Told me about some personal interactions he had with Landry. That man is a class act! That is so cool that they wrote you back. I wish I had been able to do that!

If you don't want McCarthy, cool. Say it. Then get to the business of lining up interviews with potential candidates.

If you want him back, get a deal in place and get to the business of filling out his staff.

Make decisive moves this offseason, please! Stop dragging things out for more "likes" and "follows" in the news cycle, Jerry.
I think Jerry Jones does not ever want to come off as needing someone to be successful. Hurrying any decision would indicate some anxiety. He seems like he prefers the perception that as long as he’s in charge all is good.

jerry and stephen sure love sitting around and wait on every thing

contract extension to the last second so they have to pay more, free agency so they get the scrap, guess they want to do the same thing with head coach i guess they just love the scrap

letting every top condidate do their interview with every one else with a opening and not even trying hard to sign mccarthy is a interesting strategy!!!!!

How does he not deserve a raise?

He took a playoff ready team and did enough to get them to the playoffs BUT nothing more. How does that deserve a raise? We absolutely blew our best opportunity in a long time, getting boat raced by a bunch of kids vs GB last year.

This rudderless ship needs no captain. Have Dak call his own plays and tell Micah to call the defensive plays.

End of deal is 3 days away. If they haven't talked about a deal yet, then that's a pretty tight window to hammer out a lot of important details.

I am sorry but if you are genuinely done with him but decided to deny him an interview anyway then you are a petty piece of trash that no decent coach will want anything to do with.

Jerry is milking the media, they shouldn't report on the Cowboys until something actually happens.

No matter how this plays out, some people will be happy and others will be pissed.

Personally, I don't care who the coach is. Nothing will change.

Then they didn't give him anything. They made him take Zeke when they could have signed Henry. The team still played hard for him.

I agree Jerry did him no favors last off season and that he did a really nice job keeping the team together and playing hard despite having a losing year.

My problem with him is how he performed with a healthy team when things went well. We've looked really rough in the playoffs under McCarthy. I also think it's ridiculous it took him half a season to make Rico the bell cow when camp reports had him as far and away our best back. That and we have made no progress on penalties.

Some of those gripes probably are organizational, but I think he had five years and we've seen how far he can get us. We could end up worse off, but I'd rather try than not.

Also, I'm not saying the job he did this year should get him fired. I'm only saying he didn't accomplish enough to be re-signed.

I think that the half season with Rico thing was a Jerry thing as well. I think McCarthy was told to play Zeke. They should have never gotten Zeke and they should have cut him earlier when he was causing problems.

May have been, but then I'll fault him for being yet another "yes man."

On the last year of his contract with a sinking ship he still didn't have the balls to stand up to Jerry?

That makes me want him even less. We can't win with Jerry coaching behind the scenes.
